  1. Is this wilder than Game 7 last year? I think so.
  2. Insane attempt by Springer. He just needed to keep that in front of him ffs.
  3. Talk about trading haymakers. I wanted to go to bed too. I'll be up until 1 at this rate.
  4. What are the numbers that justify hitting Kike fourth and Puig seventh and not vice versa? What am I missing?
  5. Sure, I'll wear it. Indians are f***ing chokers though, wow.
  6. I'm extremely petty and kind of want the Indians' drought to continue indefinitely because of the ridiculous Miller-Kluber show last year.
  7. The requirement for having a TV package for US customers made me wonder. It's not on the outside-U.S. package but I just wanted to be sure before I drop $25. I cancelled my cable last month because I simply don't watch TV. I probably should have waited until November, I guess. Thanks, boners.
  8. If I get MLBtv will I be able to just watch the postseason from my PS4, no strings attached? Looks like subscribers in the US need to have at least purchased a TV package from one of the affiliates carrying the games.
  9. I was at the ALCS game a few years ago when Tulo got chucked for what looked like way less than what Pedroia just did. Not that I think Pedroia deserved the boot. I think a bit of leeway should be allowed in the playoffs though.
  10. The Twins only needed like 82 of their 85 (lol) wins to play in this game. I'm looking forward to a month from now when we'll all need a wiki visit to remind us who lost the 2017 AL Wild Card game. I'm pulling for a Dodgers-Astros World Series though.
  11. Not entirely true. If the Yanks win out and the Sox lose out the remaining three games, they'd have to do a one-gamer to decide the division! Not likely, but would be hilarious. Shame the Yanks would have to do it against the Jays though since I still want to see the O's faceplant themselves into the cellar by the end of Sunday.
  12. It's nice for the fans, but the AL Wild Card was a race from the bottom. 83 wins to secure a postseason appearance is laughable. The only team that was threatening them is currently under .500. I hope the Twins get shown the door immediately.
  13. Refsnyder needs a f***ing brain transplant. Wow, is he gone.
  14. They should have tagged Bourjos first then touched the base.
  15. I should have said "get to .500 by September" rather than tread water. What I really mean is that if they can futz their way into a decent position in the next couple of weeks then a September run could be pretty fruitful. Though they admittedly haven't really shown any sort of resiliency at this point and we're four and a half months into the year.
  16. Four games out of Wild Card 2 with a month and a half to play. If they can tread water until some better health comes along, then a run is not out od the question. Look at the Cardinals who are ties for 1st in their division now.
  17. Osuna kind of sucked today. Couple of meatballs, beans an all-glove catcher, and spikes a breaking ball that was 50/50 to be blocked. Jays got this though.
  18. How long was this f***ing "extended inning" the Jays had that Buck keeps claiming threw Liriano off his game? It was like six batters long. Maybe seven?
  19. I think I agree. I've always thought the MLB playoffs should be as exclusive as possible, but I think the accomplishment of landing a division title is absolutely worth watering down the Wild Card spot somewhat (plus it's nice that middling markets don't dwindle in August too). There are downsides, though, like when two Wild Card teams are better than the other divisional winners (see: 2015 NL) and are forced to do the one-game cage match. But the arrangement overall is way more good than bad in my eyes.
  20. You don't bother. He's not legitimately dangerous or anything. You just assume he doesn't want to risk getting arrested and going to court again for breaching his probation over a ballgame.
  21. He threw a full beer can at another person. He's paying the price and the fact that he did it in front of everybody isn't a notch off of what he did. If it sucks for him, sorry, behave yourself ********. Him losing his job isn't anyone's business except his and his employer's.
  22. Buck with a cute literary reference to close out top 9.
  23. Hidden gem was something to the effect of: "The bringer of rain was the bringer of pain and now he's going to be the bringer of responses down on field level with Hazel Mae." What a diamond of cringe.
  24. They were 10-20 a month ago. You should be nothing but pleased with the current record.
