  1. Please Smoak, just run into one.
  2. Somebody get big Joe a new diaper, wow.
  3. The other team is never good. Only Blue Jays players can be good. Other teams' players succeeding is due only to Blue Jay failures.
  4. Does LF here have clown dimensions like Fenway, or is it just the ridiculous CF that makes it look like it? LF seems shallow by my eye anyway.
  5. No Josh here? Really, Gibby?
  6. Fister's breaking stuff looks really good tonight. Seems like a tip-of-the-hat sort of game.
  7. I'm genuinely shocked that anyone believed otherwise re: Sanchez and the pen. It's been a constant undercurrent all year for a reason.
  8. So the deadline moves so far: In: Melvin Upton Francisco Liriano Joaquin Benoit Scott Feldman Mike Bolsinger (AAA) Harold Ramirez (AA) Reese McGuire (A) Out: Drew Hutchison (AAA) - to PIT Drew Storen - to SEA Jesse Chavez - to LAD Guadalupe Chavez (A) - to HOU Hansel Rodriguez (A) - to SD Salary: $5M of Upton's and the entirety of Liriano's (this year's remainder & $13M+ for 2017)
  9. If the docs are fine with it, no reason for the DL.
  10. I'd really prefer Travis to be above the all-or-nothing K machine.
  11. How many years of control did Hutch have left anyway? Two?
  12. Seems so. Two in addition to Liriano. I doubt anyone really good though?
  13. Liriano is having a bad year. Hopefully he can rebound. I'd say this is a pretty good indicator of Sanchez to the pen. I was actually really hoping for Toronto to sign him during his last FA stint (can't remember if it was last year or previous).
  14. Maybe a change-of-scenery thought process. Chavez can have some success. But yeah, I think this is ultimately a more effective move for the Blue Jays considering Feldman is now here to replace Jesse.
  15. I like the idea of Barry Davis standing there and recording this for a Twitter post.
  16. Who did they send to Milwaukee? I've seen nothing else on it.
  17. Sucks. I am going to be in your neck of the woods next month, missing the first two weeks of the last month of the race.
  18. Have you tried MLBtv? All games, including both teams' TV and radio broadcasts. Plus season-wide archiving and daily recaps.
  19. I defended Chavez for a long time but he's been terrible. The guy can certainly nail down some Ks but he has given up some massive home runs this year. Outside of this week's double feature against the O's and Padres, he's also responsible for the Holt grand slam and Desmond's bomb from the brawl game. I still don't think he is genuinely this bad but he seems determined to try and change my mind.
  20. Feels like a lot of Jays losses this year have been really painful. I guess that's par for the course with a team this tough to beat that something needs to go *wrong* for them to lose, but it's still obnoxious. If I could have one game back this year it would be the home opener v the Red Sox. The game with the Donaldson and Holt grand slams. (FYI the Holt GS was a Chavez special. It's like clockwork with Jesse at this point. What a complete f***-up he's been.)
  21. Yeah, it's terrible. There was that Sox-Yanks-Sox-Yanks stretch too.
  22. Whatever. This has been a solid run. Good series. Climbed right into their kitchen. Bizarre pitch selection on just about every crucial play, though.
  23. I can't believe a grown man with shoulder length hair is going to finish this game out. Is there not a team barber?
  24. I literally deleted a post that said "how many pitches from Chavez until one finds the seats" but I didn't want to be THAT guy.
