  1. Yeah who is this nobody we have starting tomorrow anyway?
  2. Man the team is like 40-20 since the break. The BP isn't perfect but it's not terrible. Guys, seriously, this is what playoff baseball is. All bets off, and who survives? This is not the Jays against the f***ing Twins on a lethargic Sunday.
  3. Ugh. Get them tomorrow. Two best teams in the AL scrapping each other right now. This is an insane series.
  4. This much is true though.
  5. I wouldn't say this is true, but good moves tend to be invisible. Donaldson hitting second is one of them. It's probably given a lot more value than some of Gibs' dumber moves have taken away. I'm not saying the effect is as extreme as some think, but there is an effect.
  6. 800+ runs a year means a lot of those 1-run games become blowouts for the Jays. Seriously, enough of this narrative. Most teams win by a run. The Blue Jays win properly.
  7. It's like you think there is a bench full of capable hitters and also a GG-calibre defender to take over afterwards.
  8. I've seen less gloom from grieving widows. Stop wailing and watch the f***ing game.

  10. Yeah I'm cool with including Hawkins if he gets his issues sorted out. That'd be five above average relievers who are solid at what they do.
  11. This had better be the last straw with Sanchez and I hope Gibbons realizes precisely how much of his ass was saved by Cecil coming in and blowing the doors off the Yankees. Like, it could have gone south so easily. Cecil had to be exactly as amazing as he was to claw the team out of that. He even had luck on his side with an arguably BS strikeout on Gardner.
  12. A Lowe-Hendriks-Cecil-Osuna setup is my ideal.
  13. Blue Jays Message Board: where cyber stalkers come to celebrate their love of the Toronto Blue Jays.
  14. Going to honest, and I know I'll sound like one of the panickers, but I wonder how much magic Price will have left facing the Yanks for the fourth time in under two months. Then again, he might not need magic because he's David Price. s***'s got to be exhausting for him though.
  15. She blunders every time she's on the air. Every day is like her first day.
  16. Dude. That's a you-had-one-job moment. The defence today has been little league.
  17. With Hutch as a long man/insurance starter, it frees up Hendriks to get more late-game opportunities over the next two weeks. Inserting him into the mix with Lowe, Cecil, and Osuna should be a good way to inject another impact option into a tight game. Sanchez should be relegated back a bit, IMO. Lowe-Hendriks-Cecil-Osuna should be a good foursome, especially if used with enough fluidity.
  18. You can make the same argument about the Rays. Yeah, if the Royals won more games they'd have more wins under their belts. But they didn't win those games. What's the difference between a red-hot April-May and a red-hot August-September? Expectations (which mean nothing).
  19. It could be a huge boon for one team and devastating for the other. But if they split they're just back where they started (albeit with two fewer games to make anything happen). Hard to call it season defining, but I agree it's a huge opportunity for both clubs (neither of whom I'm really fond of, tbh).
  20. They're scary. I seem to remember the last series with the Indians here that posters were pretty much like, "I wish these guys wouldgo away already!" The Indians are a pain in the ass and a short series against that rotation could feel, well, pretty short. I'd much rather one of the Twins or Angels back their way into the second Wild Card.
  21. Loooooooooool Tigers
  22. So in MLB you can't barrel through the catcher to score a run but you can blatantly slide tackle a MIF to save an out on your teammate running to first.
