  1. What time does the park open for business for a weekend day game? I want to watch BP at field level, so when should I look to get there?
  2. Make sure you do it with the lights off though. Wouldn't want a shadow to startle him.
  3. I'm glad someone does. It's like, you're stat mining an 87-win team with 850 runs under its belt for not allowing themselves to play in games that can easily be blooped into losses.
  4. So will the one-run game nerds finally realize that the best way to win close, one-run games is to score more runs late to put it out of reach? There's a reason the Jays have 87 wins with 10 games to play. So stop quoting this 13-26 record in one-run games as a knock against the team. It is hands down the most obnoxious stat mining this board does.
  5. But Revere can easily square up the ball and line it through an outfield gap. He does it all the time. He did nothing wrong in sixth. It just wasn't a perfectly squared up ball. The Yankees also have really good outfielders.
  6. Me too. I'll actually be behind the plate on one of the weekend games.
  7. Barry Davis something to the effect of: "On a day when great Yankee catcher Yogi Berra passes away, another former Yankee catcher hits a big home run." Maybe just me, but super not cool Barry.
  8. Hangers going by all night.
  9. Gauntlet needs to put this away against the non-Betances/Miller pitchers.
  10. Does Price wear a batting glove specifically to get a handslap from Stroman?
  11. Looks like they just can't figure out what's likely to come. Nova's really fooling them.
  12. Buck just name dropped TSN talking about Shulman just now. Weird. Just got nostalgic for Labatt's Blue Jays Baseball on TSN.
  13. Big boys need to step it up here. Third chance at Nova.
  14. Awesome play there by Smoak. And thank goodness for the DP.
  15. Traffic holding me up big time. May not make it home for the top of the first...
  16. Maybe? Infield D will be excellent though.
  17. I have no problem seeing the crowd. I don't really understand the complaint... But yeah, they really botched Donaldson's first AB. For a second I thought I was seeing a highlight from a previous AB. It was strange. Sportsnet production is better than it used to be though. There was a time when it seemed like you could never be sure if the pitch count ticker was accurate or not.
  18. Whatever happens tomorrow night, the Jays are still in first place and I still get my pay check. Beers are on me.
  19. Agreed. And props to McCann or Girardi or whoever called for that bunt. Also, that JD still nearly made the play is amazing.
  20. Granting you that Osuna is the best, is Lowe that much of a step down? I don't think he is at all. And just a reminder -- Osuna gave up a home run to Greg Bird just last night. He just didn't have the bad luck of a McCann bunt and catcher interference call to exacerbate things.
  21. I actually thought the unusual Hague-Martin pinch hit game was interesting.
  22. Half the board will have leapt off a building once an opposing team gets two base runners on in a single inning.
