Soo.. back on topic pretty sure I remember hearing Gibby say last week that they are going to take their time with Lawrie's rehab and don't want to rush him back as that did him no good last year. lmao. -

Man... this is a good problem to have and I don't yet have a preference of what the best outcome should be. -
To be fair it wouldn't have been hey AA we'll increase the budget to $135M for you from sub 100... more like Hey Rogers we have a trade opportunity but it will go well over your spending limits but could be the difference maker of a winning team or not. Ok AA we'll take the chance but that's the max we'll be able to go without seeing the rewards. play out season win 74 games. Rogers don't want to spend another penny (why would they). Call it AA's 'fault' or whatever you want, but the budget was only increased because that trade was there for the taking.
