AA said Hutch has no limit for innings this year because the most he'll end up is likely 180 anyway.

Little off topic, is right to shutdown Stroman at some point this season? Will the Jays still shut him down if they find themselves in a dog fight for the division title end of August? Do you think their plan would be to replace him with Sanchez at some point if they did this?

Pretty sure the scenario has gone something like this: Red Sox talked to Lester in the Winter and said we're going to low ball you an offer this Spring to create a buzz, flip you in the summer for a haul of prospects and give you your real contract in November. Are you a team player Jon?

Why only 1? Kawasaki & Tolleson platooning is a much better option over Goins every day, any day. They both can play a variety of positions and Kawasaki's defense is very good and not worlds behind Goins.

Yes that would really suck, if they pull a Romero and let him struggle all year, his confidence going forward will be shot. I don't mind the idea that others have of maybe moving him to the pen or platooning him with someone, maybe Redmond.

I agree and when I heard AA talk after that game, he said we haven't had any dialogue about limiting Hutch. In a nutshell he said we feel he's not going to exceed 180 innings anyway so why put a limit # on him. I was like what??... He's already exhausted.

Don't move stro, hutch, sanchez or Norris. If that means staying pat, then stay pat. Having the option to gut & rebuild around a young MLB ready core (including Lawrie) is just too appealing. I don't feel that this year's team, with upgrades are WS contenders but I'd still enjoy seeing meaningful games played in September then 2015 try outs which I think this current roster can provide.
