  1. I agree with snowmagician - Rasmus' value might have just skyrocketed lol. A legit contender with an OF hole...
  2. If everyone would just stop derailing the thread it would work just fine for this.
  3. lol that would be tits though Hammels has been sucking hard in Oakland.
  4. definitely going to mash in fenway.
  5. Cespedes Earliest Arb Eligible: 2016, Earliest Free Agent: 2018
  6. I'd be pissed if I spent the money to sit in row 2 behind the plate and this dude sat in front of me. http://mlb.mlb.com/assets/images/3/1/8/87057318/cuts/CHC_Cut4_Kevin_Jackson_20_inch_mohawk._5znnzw1s_hb6yynio.jpg
  7. World Juniors on TSN brought in 1.5 million viewers on avg per game this year. Getting 1.1m from the same hockey crazed audience for mid season baseball is pretty ridiculous. Now pay it forward.
  8. The famous mystery club bidding war where one team outbids themself.
  9. He's probably changed his swing more than any other player in the league since he's been up. Who knows.
  10. http://i.kinja-img.com/gawker-media/image/upload/s--o3UJN0xu--/c_fit,fl_progressive,q_80,w_636/oscbhr8eiimjfh2fzqox.gif
  11. AA said Hutch has no limit for innings this year because the most he'll end up is likely 180 anyway.
  12. badum pssh. Just questions, not my opinion.
  13. Little off topic, is right to shutdown Stroman at some point this season? Will the Jays still shut him down if they find themselves in a dog fight for the division title end of August? Do you think their plan would be to replace him with Sanchez at some point if they did this?
  14. Pretty sure the scenario has gone something like this: Red Sox talked to Lester in the Winter and said we're going to low ball you an offer this Spring to create a buzz, flip you in the summer for a haul of prospects and give you your real contract in November. Are you a team player Jon?
  15. Total cost: $0 If you're so pissed that he didn't post regressed platoon stats while probably eating a hot dog on the road in Boston why didn't you just do the calculation and post it, or is it actually half decent against LHP? I still don't know what his regressed platoon stat is after reading this thread & the link posted.
  16. Too bad he didn't hit the one on the left for parking on the line like a douchebag.
  17. dirt. nom nom nom http://mlb.mlb.com/assets/images/7/3/2/86128732/cuts/cabrera_slide_z5pqx89u_zpf6qvoc.gif
  18. Call it what you want, I'll take 'good' d + average at bats over excellent d + a bag of sand for offense.
  19. Why only 1? Kawasaki & Tolleson platooning is a much better option over Goins every day, any day. They both can play a variety of positions and Kawasaki's defense is very good and not worlds behind Goins.
  20. Yes that would really suck, if they pull a Romero and let him struggle all year, his confidence going forward will be shot. I don't mind the idea that others have of maybe moving him to the pen or platooning him with someone, maybe Redmond.
  21. I agree and when I heard AA talk after that game, he said we haven't had any dialogue about limiting Hutch. In a nutshell he said we feel he's not going to exceed 180 innings anyway so why put a limit # on him. I was like what??... He's already exhausted.
  22. Don't move stro, hutch, sanchez or Norris. If that means staying pat, then stay pat. Having the option to gut & rebuild around a young MLB ready core (including Lawrie) is just too appealing. I don't feel that this year's team, with upgrades are WS contenders but I'd still enjoy seeing meaningful games played in September then 2015 try outs which I think this current roster can provide.
