  1. Wilner has made a couple of those types of posts this year. I think a move like this would just make an organization look bad playing around the rules.
  2. Juan Francisco would have to have a September like May to dig himself out of the dud list.
  3. I was hoping this would be current studs and duds with much less emphasis on annual value (Call it hot streaks and slumps if you wanted). Kind of like after X player has a good game he gets bumped in his own stud thread. What someone did in May shouldn't effect their current stud or dud value. Perhaps guys who are constantly injured and therefore not helping the team could be classified as current duds? Bautista who has had a terrible stretch could be considered a dud right now except he studly smashed 2 homers back to back nights bumping his value for this week.
  4. Since I couldn't find a "Brett Cecil is a Stud thread", I thought it'd be fun if we had a Studs & Duds list updated weekly. Thoughts? Suggestions? Current List (No particular order) Studs 1. Brett Cecil 2. Jose Bautista 3. Melky Cabrera 4. Marcus Stroman 5. Duds 1. Casey Janssen (Sorry pal) 2. Juan Francisco 3. Colby Rasmus 4. 5.
  5. Hey there is last year's Brett Cecil. Always nice to see you.
  6. I'd take my changes with Drabek. The problem with Delabar is you can't bring him in with runners on < 2out. He'll walk the bases loaded and then everyone watching inherits a .25% hair loss bonus. I'm almost bald thanks to him this year.
  7. Haven't followed MLBTR lately, but just read this: Orioles skipper Buck Showalter announced that the club is moving Ubaldo Jimenez to the bullpen, Britt Ghiroli of MLB.com writes. Needless to say, this isn’t how the O’s expected things to pan out when they signed Jimenez to a four-year, $50MM deal this winter. lol.
  8. I'd take 3-4 years of losing if they had the balls to fire-sell and rebuild.
  9. Bautista sure has ugly swings when he's not seeing it.
  10. They are a .500 ball club with 4 teams ahead of them to make the last wild card spot during the worst stretch of their season... I'm all for being optimistic but at best they'll be playing spoiler role in September.
  11. Clowns aren't good at baseball. http://usatftw.files.wordpress.com/2014/08/josereyes.jpg
  12. Bunch of cry baby millionaires preaching to the choir. Suck it up, the roster has better players on it then it did all of last month with 50% less effort. All pitchers should be happy they have a job after the deadline and want to prove why they are on the team. The rest need to man up and lead by example both at the plate on the field. Done with this season.
