  1. Yup. A Saturday Red Sox/Yankee game in July/August costs as much as a Sunday game vs the As in April. I think its going to be changed pretty soon though. Even this year I was select single game tickets will be dynamic pricing.
  2. lol Brett Cecil.
  3. You can get surgery that repairs your skin and acne scaring I think.
  4. Well the Dodgers were willing to give Grienke 30 Million/year so I don't think its going to stop them..
  5. Well you have to think about how it affects 2017-2020 as well.
  6. I think he's a good target. That said I think he gets more $ than the Jays are willing to pay.
  7. Sanchez looks like he's sloshed. Deer in the headlight look
  8. lol not with Phil Jackson at the helm
  9. don't we all? If only it worked like that... lol
  10. How is that different than everyone in the NBA lol?
  11. He's pretty solid too. His legs look massive in that pic lol.
  12. I doubt Lawrie would be picking on a guy Tulo's size lol
  13. Not when JP was here though. Like half of those players were drafted the year he left. The Mariners under Jack Z seemed to draft decent but they could never develop well. Meanwhile look at the Cardinals..
  14. ? Career 84 wRC+ vs LHP 100 wRC+ vs RHP. Last year he hit for nice power vs LHP but was unsustainable. 2.5 % BB rate 20% K rate and 40% HR/FB lol
  15. Is it fair to put Gomes and Paxton in with that group since they were developed by other orgs? I mean even Marisnick, Goins, Loup and Hutch were all developed in AA's tenure since JP was fired the year they were drafted. Drafting is only worth it if you can develop the players you drafted and maybe JP neglected this area which could explain part of it. I understand its difficult to draft slot or under all the time but that list is awful.
  16. Is Godfrey the worst president in team history? You must be pretty s***** at your job if you can't convince ownership to spend money in the draft.
  17. Yeah thats why I was wondering if a team would take him. Sure 8 Million/WAR is the going rate but is a team going to pay 4 Million for a half win 1B platoon bat? I would think team would believe they could acquire that type of player for a lot less. Anyhow the discussion is likely a moot point anyway since he will stay with the Jays lol.
  18. Well there is a reason he is a part time player. He's a platoon bat since he can't hit LHP. That what I mean though he's only projected for half a win, is a team going to spend 4 Million on that at 1st base?
  19. Okay I shouldn't have criticized him for that then, I'll admit that. Still was terrible at drafting and developing which ultimately did him in.
  20. Even without spending overslot he could have drafted better. Sure you might not get 2nd round talent in the 15th round but his drafts were terrible regardless. Him overrulling his scouts and taking Romero over Tulo was a colossal mistake that could of really helped out the franchise.
  21. you know what I meant lol "not giving up an asset in return". There's a good chance Smoak won't even produce a Win. I mean last year he was at 0.6 WAR and seemed to have a pretty good season. And that was with an unsustainable 25.4% HR/FB rate. He's put up 0.4 WAR in his entire career and he's 29 lol.
  22. People are pissed because the only reason he went on to do the interview was to make himself look better. Never did he say he did a bad job in Toronto but had a million reasons why he didn't make the playoffs. He wasn't a bad GM when you consider the payroll he had but all he ever did was build average teams that had no shot at winning in the AL East. He should of tore the thing down and rebuilt properly through the draft. But the problem was that he could never draft well and for a a team with that payroll its almost impossible to go anywhere without drafting and developing.
  23. Does someone even take Smoak for free at $3.9?
  24. I agree. Don't think there is nearly enough money to replace both with guys like Blanton and Storen tho. Payroll is pretty tight it seems. All depends what you can get back in a trade too. Like if you could get close to major league ready outfielders then that would make Revere expendable and you could dump him for salary relief to get a reliever.
  25. Jeez. Send a memo to all 29 teams that Osuna is on the block.
