  1. Thats not racist lol. You could say the exact same thing for Justin Smoak.
  2. Ben Revere's annoying accent and how stupid he comes across in interviews makes him drop quite a bit.
  3. I feel like people are putting too much emphasis on statistics at rookie levels. Not only are the sample sizes extremely small but these guys are so young. You give them the big bonuses because of the potential they have and you put faith in your development system to teach these players how to get better.
  4. He had the same fastball velo but I think he just learned to pitch with less stuff. I wouldn't go as far as vintage Verlander but if he pitched like he did in the second half he's a solid #2/3.
  5. lol anyone else just rank from worst upwards?
  6. lol like literally you would just sit in your office and jerk off all day if you didn't use a computer for your job.
  7. I don't think thats even possible. As an accountant he would have to know how to use programs like excel at the very least. How the f*** would you even do your job without a computer?
  8. I'd rather have Tellez even if he is a 1B/DH. Pentecost has no value if he isn't a catcher and the article said they still haven't fixed his shoulder yet so basically hes going to be a 1B/DH next season.
  9. Yeah that is the highest I would rank him. Sure he was a high 1st round pick but he hasn't done anything since being drafted. He'll be 23 next year and will DH most of the time apparently. Hopefully he can at least stay on the field this season.
  10. Pentecost at 4?? Wow
  11. Nice I like that they are using catapult even though it looks hilarious.
  12. That doesn't sound good for a catcher. Hopefully its not chronic as he looks to have great potential with the bat.
  13. So basically 3/78 with a full no trade clause and a 5/106 player option.
  14. Heyward's contract details came out. Understand why he took less total money now as it looks like a great contract for the player. Also came with a 20 Million signing bonus.
  15. Didn't he have a bad knee injury last year?
  16. This is hilarious
  17. Should be much higher than that. That was back in 2010 and TV contracts have gone up in value by a lot since then. I know US-CAN TV ratings are a different comparison since they use households and ads are worth more up there but the Jays just averaged close to a Million fans per game this past season. Thats more than double what the Rangers got if you figure there are 3 people in a household.
  18. Isn't it SN that does the hiring for the on air personalities? Whoever it is (Scott Moore?) should leave it to someone else. Thankfully they got Shulman on board but most of them are awful. Glen Healy, PJ Stock, Doug Maclean, Kyprios, John Shannon, Damien Cox, Buck and Pat, Barry Davis, Hazel Mae, Kevin Barker... like a 10 year old kid could do better. Only SN on-air people I like are Eliotte Friedman, Mike Johnson, Tim & Sid and Shulman (now).
  19. Crazy the NHL contract got over $500 Million. I always wonder how much the Blue Jays would get if it was an open bid. 200-300 Million on a 10+year deal?
  20. After doing some creeping I can say that lady is Donaldson's best friend's wife/gf.
  21. Does that not have more to do with bad management than payroll size? If the Rays FO were in charge of the Tigers/Phillies they wouldn't be putting all their chips in 1 basket for 1 or 2 years. I see what you are saying if Owners meddle in baseball operations which looks to be the case in Detroit, but if the Blue Jays had a single owner I don't think anyone would be complaining about ownership as much. MLB hates that Rogers owns the Blue Jays and said there will never be a corporate owner again.
  22. Wow Edwin's is smoking hot. lol don't think JD still has a GF anymore.
  23. He never said anything specific about them since he works in the industry but sounds like a lot of it is lack of training. That they seem to generalize on pitchers thinking they have to be a "certain" way instead looking at each player on case by case basis. I remember listening to an interview with Arrieta who said he was happy he was with the Cubs because they let him be himself and let him use his athletic delivery.
  24. Kyle Boddy from the pitching facility in Seattle has been very critical of the O's player development in the minors. Said its no coincidence top pitching prospects don't do well in the system.
