  1. He also said that last year when he could barely move. A player will always say he's good even if thats not the case.
  2. I wonder if Saunder's knee is healthy enough to hit? Sure sounds like he won't be in the OF anytime soon.
  3. Lol going to guess Saunders... Anyone else get the feeling if money was included in the deal, we would have heard about it by now?
  4. I guess Michael Saunders medical records finally came in...
  5. Now thats a Red I want on this team.
  6. Unless you are directly behind home plate in 122 or in the TD Zone you don't get a great view of balls and strikes. Section 101 you get a pretty good view of the strikezone. I've sat in behind the dugout and while its cool to be that close to the action you really don't get a good view.
  7. Seats in CF are actually really good. I'd much rather sit there than down the baseline where your seat isn't even facing the plate. 200 Level is nice too since there is more legroom.
  8. Health. My guess is the blue jays are trading Saunders because of concerns about his health. Its a lot easier for his body to be on dirt at 1st than the turf in the OF.
  9. If they were going to trade for Bruce I would have liked to keep Saunders and play him at 1st base. His bat is a lot better than Smoak and made less money.
  10. When I read it I didn't see the controllable part, rather a number 1 starter for 1 season only. A team isn't going to trade a controllable number 1 starter for Bautista anyway.
  11. Yeah but if you are paying that much money to Brucewhy not keep Saunders and instead of keeping/getting Estrada or Happ you get a much better pitcher?
  12. Imagine the backlash if no cash or prospects are going to Toronto in the deal.
  13. The most attractive thing about Bruce on the Jays would be that he would be facing a lot of RHP. He loses a lot of value being terrible vs LHP but with at least 7 hitters being RH he shouldn't be facing hardly any Loogys.
  14. I think the Jays aren't on the no trade list after all.
  15. WTH did ESPN do to their NBA Boxscores? The new format is complete trash. I mean its not NHL.com bad but still...
  16. Disagree. The upgrade a number 1 starter provides over the number 5 starter is less than the upgrade of say Bautista over Jay Bruce. By taking away offence you are also talking away extra ABs from the top of the lineup so you aren't just losing Bautista's offensive WAR but War from guys like Donaldson, Tulo, EE etc because you would be turning the lineup over less often.
  17. If Rogers wants to do that then they better be prepared for the PR shitstorm that would come from that. Its one thing to have him leave as a FA, different story to trade him in a year you are trying to win the division. Not to mention, Shapiro would probably not agree to that.
  18. If you read the full quote in context Bautista alludes to that. He said the deal was fair at the time but he overperformed on the deal so the blue jays got a discount the last 5 years so he isn't looking to give them another one.
  19. I'd rather just go with the better talent and have Pompey as insurance.
  20. Well if he isn't healthy enough I doubt he is going to pass a physical for a new team.
  21. Maybe they are paying the difference in salary?
  22. Which can only be bad for the Blue Jays.
  23. lol Hazel Mae weighs in
  24. Only way I see him being traded is if Cincinnati eats a ton of salary. And I can't see them doing that unless they got good prospects back which the Blue Jays wouldn't trade and the Angels don't have
