    Looking through the prospects list I wonder if Hollon was the player who was going to be traded to the Reds. Not a great track record of health and is more than a nothing prospect who would have held up a trade.

    Sure there are things you can't control but the things that they could control haven't gone well either. Telling Michael Saunders the trade was just "rumours" and he shouldn't be concerned is just as bad.

    During negotiations its probably a good idea to tell Bautista to keep it in house. Also when you call a press conference and say negotiations will not be public and hours later a number is leaked, it doesn't exactly look good no matter how you slice it. Having a press conference this morning should never have happened.

    Well Rogers and the Jays FO certainly aren't going to win any PR awards. After such a great season its one disaster after another.

    Rogers isn't going to leak a number that is higher, because that is just going to piss off Jose even more. Think about it... I would reserve poohead for the Jeff Blairs of the world.

    Apparently its Jose asking for a number, his agent had nothing to do with it. He's a pretty honest guy, so I think it played out like he said it did.

    Thats kind of bushleague to tell him that if it was just the medicals of a prospect stopping the trade from going through.

    Are you saying you don't believe Jose asked for 5/150? He wouldn't come out with this if he didn't think it was correct.

    The Jordan Brand signed Stroman which is pretty interesting. He's going to make more money this year in endorsements than his actual salary lol.

    Well Bautista can ask for whatever he likes, its his right. Whether a team gives that to him is a different story. As crazy as it sounds I could see him getting that number if he hits FA next year.

    Hes actually a pretty good reporter. He's done some great pieces on the Jersey fraud businesss. I kind of wonder if Rogers leaks certain things to him on purpose though since he works for TSN.

    Its actually gone up the last month or so. 1 USD used to be around 1.45 CAD now its around 1.37. I think the impact is a lot less than people lead on anyways. The Jays get around $100 Million USD in revenue sharing each year so its not like you take the payroll in USD and multiply it by the exchange rate to get the cost to the org.

    Does anyone else regret signing Estrada to that deal? Honestly I think I'd rather have Hutch and Chavez in the rotation than him.

    I guess we know that the Blue Jays still have $10 Million available in their budget now though. Maybe not that high but certainly a decent amount.

    Now you kind of really have to feel bad for Saunders. He gets traded from a team he really wanted to be a part of only to have his medical records be the reason the trade falls through. All of this because the Blue Jays provided unsafe playing conditions. Does anyone know if he could sue them over it? I mean if his career is cut short you could argue the injury costed him millions of dollars.
