    Schneider takes guys out who are dominating, but Garcia struggling in his first game back from a shoulder issue is going to throw 35 pitches. Unreal.

    Yeah the Jays need a 6-7 IP outing for a SP badly. Schneider probably tried to squeeze as much out of Berrios as he could, but there should have been a mound visit or something in there if there wasn't one.

    I'm guessing Lukes is banged up, otherwise Wagner at 3B and Schneider in LF against a RHP makes zero sense.

    Lugo has a $15M player option for 2026, which he may decline depending on how the rest of his season goes. If the Jays want someone with team control, then the Marlins are probably their best hope. Sandy at (what should be) a discount, or Cabrera for some good prospects. Otherwise probably better off in the rental market.

    Nimmala down to a 106 wRC+. He must be on one heck of a cold stretch. Hopefully he turns things around. Was looking forward to him ending the season in AA.

    I'm guessing it's a combination of not having anyone else deemed available, not wanting to extend of the 1 inning RP's, and Yariel possibly already being "hot" before all the tack on runs. Regardless, a smarter manager uses Green for a 2nd inning. Schneider isn't that guy.

    Schneider usually doesn't use RP's for more than an inning so he'll probably get Yariel into this game due to lack of other options. I'd just let Green go a 2nd, but that ain't happening.

    Not sure why you use this guy to face 2-3-4. Just because there's 2 lefties up and he's a LHP doesn't mean it's the smart thing to do.

    Yeah Little and Hoffman have pitched the last 2 days so I doubt they are available. Sandlin coming in now. Fisher was warming up so he's available. I would imagine Rodriguez will be the closer today if it gets to that point. Going to be tough to get through 3 innings to bridge to that.

    Wonder if they try to squeeze 2 more batters out of Gausman. Not something Schneider usually does with starters, but the pen is probably short Hoffman and Little tonight.

    Best chance for the Jays is holding the Yankees to 2 and then getting to the Yankees bullpen, but so far looks like Fried might go deep into this game.

    Gausman is infuriating now because you don't know what you're going to get start to start. Jays really needed a couple of clean innings with Fried pitching, but guess not.

    I don't understand why the Jays can't start the pregame stuff 30-45 minutes before the projected start time instead of 5 minutes before.

    A Cy Young candidate facing a lineup with Davis Schneider and Myles Straw batting 5th and 6th. Hopefully the most baseball thing ever can happen today.
