    Nah, with Liriano's salary, there's little chance they bring the Dickster back. Im not sure Liriano is an upgrade but better him than Dickey for the same (or similar) cost.

    I didn't hear Martin's response, but I'm not surprised he's upset about it, or anyone else for that matter. They have a legitimate chance to make the playoffs this season and they moved their best SP to the pen. Martin's never won a title before (I think), so of course he's going to dislike something that might hurt his chances.

    If only Martin did not selfishly hit that HR last night. Could have had a fresh pen for tonight. Now have to depend on Barnes.

    Everyone has been asking for Barnes. Right into the fire now. Good start by Dickey. Much needed.

    Nothing to do with tonight's game, but arguably the best pitching performance from a Jays young pitcher in years is being halted because of an innings limit while we have to see Dickey pitch every 5th day. I mean, I get why they are doing it, whether rightly or wrongly, but that's a buzzkill if I've ever seen one.

    I'm not entirely familiar with these prospects, but I'm not sure why this is a "rape" as some people have called it. I'd probably rather have Hutch than Liriano due to the salary difference, and the prospects don't wow me enough to get excited about the swap. Hopefully I'm just underrating the prospects.

    Smoak is s***. Don't know why they felt the need to re-sign him. The sooner they go with Edwin at 1b and Bautista at DH, the better.

    Me too. The man created a distraction for no reason other than to stroke his cock in front of the media like he was a big shot about to get paid NBA money and now it's possible he crawls back to the Jays by the end of the season. For better or worse, he's our Machado, or Ventura. The one opposing fans hate. With good reason. Great player in his prime, though.

    For a reliever? One win is pretty significant, especially when you got him essentially for free.

    Bring Dickey in after this. Who cares. Jays ain't scoring again.

    Goins is not a MLB talent, but everyone else in this lineup is, even without Donaldson and Tulo. I mean, scoring more than a freakin' run shouldn't seem like a miracle.

    Bolsinger is actually a decent return. Could be rotation depth or a reliever and has many years of control left.

    Man if the Jays were sellers, they would have made a killing this deadline. They better win the WS this year.

    He could have stretched Biagini for 2 innings today if he hadn't used him in a blowout the day before. Plus, not sure what he had in mind letting Morales face righties. Was he expecting a different result? Might as well have started the inning with Gopher Ball Chavez and lived with the consequences. Probably would have lead to a loss anyway, but at least he's decent occasionally for the Jays so maybe there was hope he could have gotten them to another inning or two before he inevitably gave up bombs (and it would have happened eventually.....dude is John Wasdin this year).

    I don't know what's worse; Tulo getting hurt or Gibbons having Ryan Goins as an option on the bench.

    Having 5 OF's really doesn't help either. This is the 2nd time in a week that Gibbons has purposely lost the DH in a close game. It was excusable today since Barney had to move over to SS and none of Upton/Smoak/Carrera/Thole could play 3B, but you don't need 5 f***ing OF's, and Gibbons isn't creative at all so he's not going to be able to use this roster effectively the way it is. You have to dummy proof a roster for this Redneck nimrod to not mess it up. Right now there's still holes that need to be fixed.

    Gibbons trying to sabotage the game making the pen look bad so that Sanchez moves to the pen after they acquire a starter in the next 24 hours.

    Gibbons should have resigned with his boy AA. Why this front office kept him is beyond me. He uses Biagini, Cecil, and Chavez in a blowout, and then goes with Morales in a tie game.

    3-2 game is still salvageable, but Gibbons wants to put this out of reach.
