    Martin won't catch the Dickster. I think they'll keep Thole around for the Dickey starts and then kick both of them out the door if/when they make the playoffs.

    Nah, just use your best guys and trust them to get outs regardless of who they are facing. Unfortunately, the manager doesn't realize that Biagini is one of his best guys, and thinks Benoit is one of them, so it's going to hurt the team at some point.

    The sad thing is, I think Biagini's numbers against lefties are actually better than Cecil's this year. Don't tell the hick that, though. Lefty on lefty all day! Dem matchups!

    That was about as predictable an inning as you'll see from the Jays. When the offence is not on fire, they are s***. There's no in between.

    Even if that were true, how likely is it that this front office would acquire a player signed for that much until he's 40? They don't even want to sign Edwin and Jose because of their ages. They obviously place value on aging, as they should. I mean, it would be awesome to have Votto in the lineup for the next few years, but it's the last few years of his contract that are the problem, including a huge buyout at the end of it.

    Biagini is clearly superior to Benoit, but Benoit is older therefore brings the type of veteran intangibles that is better suited for late inning relief.

    Definitely seems like a gold digger in action, but can't really say unless we get the whole story. I just want Edwin to keep hitting.

    Make the ALDS and I'll be happy. The playoffs are a crapshoot. Just don't play the one and done game and lose. That would suck.

    So Cecil getting hit harder, giving up more line drives, fewer ground balls, and so on, is going to be ignored? He looked great prior to this season but he's been ass in 2016. Look deeper than FIP.

    He was going to be skipped in his next turn and wasn't going to pitch out of the pen. THis is a way to add another body in his place until he starts again. Why they decided for Loup instead of a position player is the more questionable move. Gibbons doesn't even use Tepera unless it's a blowout, and that's his boy. He won't be using Loup either. Might as well have called up BUrns or something. At least he would have been of some use.

    I like how Carrera is hitting 2nd instead of Tulo, Martin, or even Saunders. Gibby gon Gibby. At least he took Sanchez out at the right time. I was convinced he was going to let Sanchez go for the W.
