  1. And Red Sox. Remember who's above us.
  2. Going to extras in Puerto Rico.. neither the Twins or Cleveland have been able to score.
  3. And it's finally over in Oakland--Matt Olson walks it off. I recently mentioned the A's are a better team than they've shown--they're now 9-10! And this strong offense gets to try to stop the Red Sox juggernaut next..
  4. It has gotten so deep into extras, White Sox are now using James Shields in an emergency relief appearance as they've run out of relievers. Still 11-11 in the 14th..
  5. Still going in Oakland.. are we going to see a starter or position player pitch before this game ends? Still 11-11 in the 12th..
  6. White Sox/A's has been nuts! 11-11 in the 9th, both teams have basically torched their bullpens as Triggs and Fulmer did not get out of the 2nd..
  7. Luke Maile with another clutch hit! As for Ngeope.. interesting. Perhaps the team has decided to send him down? And it means Martin's likely going to 2B or 3B while Maile catches.
  8. And that's 4 HRs given up by Luke Bard.. he's all but booking a return back to the Twins organization pitching crappily like this and showing that he's not MLB ready.
  9. Blister for Shohei Ohtani. Hopefully he hasn't been cursed the same way Rich Hill has been, and Aaron Sanchez was last year.. where the blisters cause extended DL stints.
  10. Maybe because they're actually playing a decent team for the first time? They can't play Teas and KC all the time.. and Oakland, who is playing better now (they're up a lot on the White Sox).. remember, the A's are a much better team than they've shown. They just need more starting pitching..
  11. Damn, what a night for Mookie! 2 HRs tonight off Ohtani and Daniel Bard's bro Luke.. who has served up 3 HRs in 1 inning to Betts, Bradley and Holt.
  12. And a 38 pitch inning.
  13. And another good inning for the Jays pen! Please, can we get a win already? We've got a game tomorrow aft..
  14. One of the few good arms in KC's pen..
  15. Oh and to add--Luis Cessa, called up to replace an injured Tommy Kahnle, may be DL bound himself.. just left tonight's game with an injury failing to record an out in his 3rd inning of work mopping up an ineffective Tanaka..
  16. Yes, it's a small sample size--but for all the money they spent, the pressure on the Yankees is really high to win now.. and there are some problems on the team--beyond Severino, Tanaka/Gray/Montgomery are struggling, the bullpen's just lost Kahnle for an undetermined time, and they're still waiting for Sabathia to return. Drury's still out, and Andujar has shown he needs more AAA time.. and Sanchez, Walker and Stanton are struggling to hit for average or get on base. Judge, Gardner, Austin and Gregorius are basically leading the team right now while they wait for others to wake up..
  17. And there goes Duffy's win.. as the Royals bullpen blows another game. Is it a wonder they have the worst record in the AL? As for Yost--look at the roster he has. How is he supposed to put a good team in the field when the roster is garbage and no help exists in the minors?
  18. He won a World Series. Problem is, ownership has screwed him over with so many crappy pieces..
  19. Late bloomer? He is only 27.. and he did hit reasonably and walked at a good clip in the minors in the Rays organization.
  20. Wow, another bullpen collapse for the Royals... Ned Yost is probably wondering "When am I going to get let go so I can get hired by a better club?"
  21. Royals pen is such trash--Grimm's showing there shows how far the Royals have fallen..
  22. Grimm cannot throw strikes and is close to loading the bases for the Jays..
  23. Yanks have drawn 7 walks against Jarlin Garcia and the bullpen for Miami--and they're LOSING! Can't hit with RISP.. 0-8! Wasn't this Yanks team supposed to be elite? Because they've hardly acted like it..
  24. Has anyone noticed Bryce Harper's OF defense for some mysterious reason, has fallen off a cliff this season? I know it's a small sample size--but something is off with him. Maybe it partially explains why the Nats are under .500--along with a crappy bullpen and backend of the rotation. Sure, Bryce Harper is hitting a ton and walking a lot.. but what happened to his glove?
  25. Actually, Oakland might have a better chance of getting above .500 unlike the rest--they do have some good starters in the rotation in Triggs, Manaea and Mendgen, and the bullpen hasn't been too bad (only big hole is Chris Hatcher). And that offense is pretty strong--Chapman is an early MVP candidate(1.5 WAR), hitting well and playing a very good 3B. Only real holes are CF and the #4-5 spots in the rotation in Graveman(9.87 ERA) and Gossett(who's been sent to AAA). Hopefully Cahill might be able to stabilize that rotation. Texas is a dumpster fire getting clobbered by injuries. It's 2014 all over again.. can't hit or pitch, missing Odor and Andrus, and DeShields.. and Drew Robinson has been one of the worst players on the Rangers. And Joey Gallo has been like JP Arencibia with the bat.. high power and no ability to walk so far this year.
