    Another victim of an overworked Angels bullpen--Keynan Middleton to the DL (elbow inflammation), joining Blake Wood there. Eduardo Paredes back again.. at the rate the bullpen is getting used, the Angels pitching staff will be DOA by July...

    E-Rod having all kinds of control issues vs. the Royals.. not a good start for the Red Sox, especially with the Yankees breathing down their neck...

    Crippling blow to the Dodgers. Better hope Turner gets back ASAP.. and even that might not help this team. It's very difficult to replace Seager's bat in the lineup.

    Nope-Ngeope is up for a few days until Donaldson returns at week's end for the Tampa series. And maybe the lineup improves a little offensively with Grichuk and Travis out of it for a few weeks. Besides, we were carrying too many OFs--which is why Ngeope got the call over Alford and Pompey.

    Twins are a bloody mess right now--Hughes moved to bullpen, Sano possibly headed to DL, worst pitching in AL, and Buxton still out.

    It's the same crappy Angels team that is going to implode because of a lack of depth, crappy starting pitching beyond Skaggs and Ohtani(and that's still questionable), taxing a bullpen that is already the most overworked in baseball.. and Trout's supporting cast stinks. Neither Kinsler or Cozart are hitting, Calhoun has been terrible, and Upton is still the same inconsistent player that annoyed Tigers fans..

    Man, ESPN is still thinking how "great" the Angels are--LA's going to be out of it by the All-Star break if they don't start getting length from their starters and more support for Trout..

    Long overdue move. It means Gurriel has basically cemented the 2B job until Donaldson returns, then it'll be likely a Solarte/Gurriel platoon (with Gurriel getting some SS time if Diaz keeps struggling.)

    Looks like another long night for the Angels bullpen ahead, as Garret Richards is imploding, with no help from his defense as Cozart and Maldonando committed errors in the 1st.. 5-0 already as Andujar just hit a double.. It's the last thing the Angels need..

    Rays win again! 12-6 victory over the Red Sox! Rays are now a shocking 9-1 since their nadir at 3-12.. suddenly, I'm having 2011 flashbacks again on this Rays team. And with 3 against the Tigers after this Red Sox series, suddenly the East is looking a lot more competitive.. at the expense of Boston, New York and Toronto.. and it makes me fear they're going to screw with us again at the Trop next weekend. Sox, despite the Toronto series, have cooled off dramatically.. dropping 5 of their last 7. It's not just Toronto struggling after a hot start.. and meanwhile, the Yankees are soaring. And the O's season is basically over.. cue the Machado to Yankees/Cubs/Phillies/wherever rumors..

    Winnable? Sox are 19-5! This series though showed the Jays need Donaldson back ASAP.

    Lost 2/3.. at least the good news is that the sked lightens up for a while--3 with the Rangers, Twins, then the Rays and a double-header vs. the Indians.. At least they were close games.. we just need to get Donaldson back and get Travis and Grichuk going.

    That's what I fear. However, they've been playing the O's and Twins--teams with terrible pitching, so it's difficult to evaluate.

    Rays are streaking! Up 6-0 and about to win 6 in a row after a horrible start--who knew? They're looking like the pests again..

    Goddamn Twins pitching staff--Yanks walk it off, with Gary Sanchez hitting a 3-run walkoff HR off Fernando Rodney. Twins are 8-12.. suddenly, Cleveland's early road to an AL Central title is looking VERY easy..
