  1. Well, Villar sucked, Gonzalez has been mixed, and Hernandez went to Miami with Cosart. Good teams don't have guys like Petit in their lineup..
  2. Wow, Buchanan's got awful numbers.. and wonder why Hoes has the same number as their mascot Orbit, who's really good BTW.
  3. That "troll" snowmagician has been posting anti-Jays comments since last night and infuriating us fans.
  4. Then explain how we swept the Red Sox and took 2/3 from the Yankees recently?
  5. Kawasaki needs a day off. He's played quite a bit recently.
  6. Shouldn't be too much trouble. That Houston lineup is terrible without Springer. And Jake Buchanan likely won't go deep in the game either.
  7. We ARE a winning team. As it stands, we make the playoffs if the season ends today. And really, with such mediocre competition right now, we have a good chance. And regarding your comments: -Shields isn't going to New York.. his stuff would get him destroyed at Yankee Stadium, and there's no guarantees on Sabathia and Tanaka even being healthy. -Orioles do have young pitchers, but zero bats in the minors system. Nelson Cruz was basically luck.. without him, O's aren't even contending. And he will likely leave for bigger money this winter, along with Markakis and Hardy. Peter Angelos is a cheapskate, and they may have to cut payroll if they lose in the litigation with the Washington Nationals regarding MASN. And their roster is about to get a lot more expensive, as several key pieces, such as Britton, Tillman, Gonzalez, Davis, Norris, and Wieters are due huge raises. -David Price is gone this offseason. Rays are heading for a rebuild, as the franchise cannot afford a $100M payroll they would require if they kept Price. -Red Sox didn't contend from 2010-2012, if you forgot. 2013 was a fluke caused by strong career and walk years for guys like Napoli, Victorino, Buchholz, Ellsbury, etc. Reality has set in for them this year, and the team faces a lengthy rebuild trying to build a roster, especially post-Ortiz, when he retires. And if you're going to say things about the Jays, at least spell the player's names right! And Bautista's not going to the Yankees. This isn't the late 90s/early 2000s.
  8. Most sources say early August. Most likely they return vs. either Baltimore or Detroit.
  9. Heck, we could still catch the Angels. Angels already lost 2 in Baltimore, and have tough stretches coming in Tampa Bay and Chavez Ravine (home-and-home with the Dodgers).
  10. Well, since the Yankees can't beat the Rangers (lost 2 of 3).. what makes you think they'll beat the Red Sox? Even Chase Headley isn't helping. They made Colby Lewis look like an ace.
  11. Kratz has bounced around the minors for 12 years for a reason. He's not a guy, even with his defense, you want starting. Besides, Navarro/Thole is still an upgrade over what we had last year in JP Arencibia.
  12. Go away. Orioles are losing JJ Hardy AND Nelson Cruz, along with Nick Markakis, and ownership isn't likely to pony up, especially with Davis and Wieters hitting free agency in 2015. Yankees don't have flexibility to spare because of A-Rod's contract, and a declining roster. Red Sox have a lot of things to fix, especially the offense. Rays will be bad next year unless Price gets dealt for young bats.
  13. Watch the Red Sox pound the Yankees this weekend..
  14. Lawrie should be back for the O's series based on the information.
  15. Lind and EE's setbacks were already known a week ago. They'll definitely need rehab games.
  16. Then explain why Jered Weaver and Garret Richards can't beat Baltimore. And Lester isn't going to Baltimore.. O's refuse to give top prospects for 2 months of Lester. Plus, Baltimore will cool off sooner or later.
  17. Agreed. L.A's really struggled recently, and have a tough series with the Rays next, then a home-and-home with the elite LA Dodgers, a team better than the Angels. Hey, the way the Jays are playing and the Angels struggling, we could cut the Angels lead if we pummel the Astros. L.A's 1st wild card lead's down to 5.5 games, BTW.
  18. Did anyone forget to tell the Angels they're an elite team? Another loss to the O's, a team they should be slaughtering with that offense. Luckily, the Jays are winning. Not so good for the Rays and Yankees, though.
  19. Yes. They need to get another arm up for the Houston series
  20. My mistake.. sorry. But Oakland really should've swept Houston there.. too bad the Angels are still not taking advantage of it.
  21. Holt continues to slump.. and Victorino is apparently hurt YET again.
  22. Yeah right.. Houston has only benefited from Oakland sending out a tired Jesse Chavez and an awful Jason Hammel, who is a huge downgrade from Tommy Milone/Drew Pomeranz/Brad Mills.
  23. Hopefully they do better than Oakland did this series, albeit it was vs. a Jesse Chavez who is tiring (innings) and an awful Hammel (NL pitcher at best). No surprise there are rumors Oakland is looking for another starter.
