  1. Mariners up 6-2 in the 9th. Looks like the Jays will stay 2.5 back.
  2. Did you consider that Oberholtzer and McHugh are actually good pitchers? As is Kuechel. Feldman and Peacock, on the other hand, are hurting the Astros. In addition, the Astros offense has been young and inconsistent.
  3. Lucky we get a day off Monday. Baltimore has a makeup game vs. the Nats, and they've got to face Iwakuma tomorrow.
  4. I was referring to the Houston/Oakland series. And BTW, Baltimore is losing right now.
  5. Would've been a sweep if Chad Qualls hadn't had a meltdown.
  6. Luckily it's Stro vs. Feldman tomorrow. Feldman is pretty bad (4.72 SIERA). Let's just hope for a split and O's losing (which they are as we speak.)
  7. And if you look at Houston's starting pitching, they have a bright future. Kuechel, Oberholtzer, McHugh.. but they're still short 2 quality starters. Feldman and Peacock are terrible. And don't mention the bullpen. If they ever figured out the rest of their rotation, their bullpen, and improved their lineup in several spots, like SS, their OF outside of Springer, etc.. this team could eventually be a powerhouse.
  8. Especially considering how bad Feldman has been lately.
  9. Still 2nd and likely to still be 2.5 up on Baltimore, as the O's trail 4-2 on Seattle.
  10. Vargas melting down vs. A's.
  11. Webster's final line: 2.2 IP, 2H, 4 ER, 6 BB, 1K. Send him to AAA.. oh wait, Boston traded everybody with MLB experience away. With these control issues, there is talk he is likely a bullpen piece long term. Good thing Boston has money to blow on Scherzer, Shields, Lester, etc..
  12. Dammit Farrel, get Webster outta there! He's going Morrow on the Red Sox right now.. 6 walks now.
  13. Webster's control issues strike again. 4 walks so far in 2.2 IP, Yanks have tied the game up at 3.
  14. Tigers and Jays fans may want to keep an eye on the Royals.. they beat Oakland last night. They're only 2.5 (wild card) and 4 (division) back. Although, the division is likely more attainable for Kansas City because of Detroit's continue bullpen issues, and the crumminess of the AL Central.
  15. McHugh is actually a good pitcher, but he doesn't get run support.
  16. Yankees lose. Jays will be as many as 4 up if they win.
  17. Lost in the Red Sox success tonight is that David Ross hurt his foot. If it's a DL injury, Dan Butler likely gets a callup.
  18. FFS the O's win. Seattle's offense is pathetic.
  19. And the Jays are going to pull further away in the 2nd wild card, as the Yankees aren't doing themselves any favors either by losing to the Red Sox so far.
  20. Thanks. And BTW Prado just came in.. and grounded out.
  21. C'mon Kendrys... get a big hit off Miller.
