  1. Girardi should've had Warren in about one batter ago..
  2. Darn it Girardi, stop burning up Betances! He's already about to walk Rasmus..
  3. Hard to say if Betances will be back in.. he's already at near 20 pitches. Certainly Girardi is smart enough not to burn him out ahead of a road trip to Texas..
  4. This kind of stuff gets people fired in most other ballclubs. What a terribly managed ballclub.
  5. No appearances. The starters have pitched well enough that Esmil Rogers was never needed.
  6. Scott MacArthur ‏@TSNScottyMac 2m Looks like Esmil Rogers will be DFA'd to make room for Nolan Reimold. #BlueJays #MLB #Yankees
  7. And at the rate the Mariners are going, they will likely be out of contention by the time we see them, as they still can't score.
  8. Agreed. We need another starter. Remember, Headley was sent to NY for nothing more than a utility infielder and a A+ ball propsect.. there's probably some baggage on Headley we don't know about.
  9. Eventually Yankees fans will find out WHY the Padres wanted Headley dealt, with his fading power, injury issues and high K rates. And besides, Lawrie will be back by the next home stand, and is expected to play 3B full time. If you want a trade, then we should go after a 2B and maybe another SP.
  10. All clubs do this. Ask the Yankees when the heck Pineda and Tanaka will be back.. Pineda was only supposed to be gone for the 10 days he was suspended.. he has instead missed 3-4 months. And I expect Tanaka to have to undergo Tommy John surgery.. they just don't want to say it because the Yanks are basically hanging by a thread in the standings. And I am also getting sick of this negativity on this board.
  11. Vazquez just threw a bunt into the bullpen and got Jennings to 3rd.
  12. A fan at that Trop(Red Sox fan BTW) just did a Jeffrey Maier impression and stole a ball that was about to hit the yellow line.. luckily, no HR here, as it ended up being a 2B on fan interference.
  13. Not with the Rays only 4.5 back, and possibly less if the Rays and Jays win today.
  14. This trade likely means Miller and Uehara, and other bullpen pieces will be dealt as well. Still, Boston could use some offensive prospects as well.. there's no power(20-30HR threat) bat coming in their system.
  15. Gregor Chisholm @gregorMLB · 39m In other words, I find it doubtful that Encarnacion returns on this current road trip. If there's no more setbacks, maybe vs Bal on Aug. 5. So looks like he'll be back on the next home stand, along with Lawrie.
  16. So sick of the negativity. And BTW, Hutchison isn't close to his innings limit. Career high is 149.1 IP. So he could still go at least 170-180 IP.
  17. 4.5 back of the Yankees, 3.5 on the Jays. However, they need the Jays to win to gain ground in the wild card, as the Yankees are leading.
  18. For Boston it is. 7.5 back of the wild card and 10 back of of the O's. Time to sell.
  19. Luckily we get "Crap Cushion" tomorrow (an anagram of Chris Capuano when he stunk in Milwaukee). In 2013, he didn't exactly pitch well with the Dodgers, and putting him in the AL as a starter again spells trouble, especially at Yankee Stadium.
  20. Say goodbye to the Red Sox season.. Tampa is beating the Sox 6-3.
  21. Hopefully Hutch can do a better job tomorrow. At least he can throw better than the 85-86 mph stuff that the Yankees frequently crush off Buehrle every time he pitches, no matter which team he plays for.
  22. Another loss at Yankee Stadium.. However, we have a shot next two games. Capuano and Greene don't really inspire confidence.. Capuano was cut from the Red Sox after absolutely struggling in June (gave up 10 ER in 5 appearances in June, leading to a DFA). There's a reason nobody gave him a starting spot.. Shane Greene was just lit up in his last start vs. Texas.. and considering his terrible AAA numbers, regression is due.
