  1. At the very least we need to get one win out of Yankee Stadium so we're still within distance. Now hopefully Robertson is awful tonight..
  2. Nice hit by Navarro. Too bad Yankee Stadium is a joke with its tiny dimensions.
  3. What a brain cramp by Headley.. couldn't even remember how many outs there were.. it's on the frigging ribbon boards and video board!!!
  4. Oh give it a break. At least Gibbons yanked Buehrle early rather than have him give up more hits.
  5. Yankees have even worse than that with several combinations of their players.
  6. Smart move by Gibbons to yank Buehrle early. Redmond's in.
  7. Every time Buehrle pitches here.. he blows up like this. Get someone up!
  8. Another hit for Jeter.. 5 more hits and Red Sox fans will be pissed off (he'll pass Yaztrzemski on the all-time hits list.)
  9. 28 pitches for Kuroda. As long as we avoid Betances in their bullpen we're fine.
  10. Remember, the Yankees have a C at 1B right now in McCann because Tex is doubtful to questionable for this weekend, and may not play until Sunday, if at all.
  11. Change in Yanks plans: Bryan HochVerified account ‏@BryanHoch Chris Capuano will start for the Yankees tomorrow. Greene starts on Sunday, Whitley back to the bullpen. So the change means: Buehrle (4.51 SIERA) vs. Kuroda (3.91 SIERA) Hutchison (3.94 SIERA) vs. Capuano (3.91 SIERA but in relief) JA Happ (4.30 SIERA) vs. Greene (3.14 SIERA in 19.1 IP) Still question why Capuano was picked up by the Yanks.. as a flyball pitcher, he risks being lit up hard at Yankee Stadium.
  12. http://blogs.denverpost.com/rockies/2014/07/25/rockies-trade-scenarios-tulowitzki-gonzalez-de-la-rosa-barnes/18295/ "The Toronto Blue Jays have been scouting Barnes, the Rockies’ utility outfielder. With Michael Cuddyer due back in mid-August, a Barnes deal, at the right price, could make sense, but an MLB source says Toronto has not yet put together a deal for Barnes."
  13. And the Yankees are unlikely to have Tex in the lineup, plus lost Kelly Johnson to injury.
  14. Cleveland Indians, another team chasing us, is tied 1-1 in the 14th.. they wasted a great Corey Kluber start.
  15. How incompetent can the Mariners offense be?? Getting shut out by mediocre(excluding Chen) Orioles pitching! And this team was leading the 2nd wild card?
  16. And because the Yanks are desperate and this media is coming out, expect prices for the Yankees in prospects demanded by other teams to skyrocket. No way San Diego or Colorado give up Ian Kennedy or Jorge De La Rosa for minimal return. Remember, Colorado wanted Gausman for De La Rosa.
  17. Wow, the Yanks are so desperate to get a World Series ring for Jeter before he retires, they're willing to be really awful for years after he retires by making these win-now trades.
  18. Yankees (potentially) bankrupting their farm system again: JIM BOWDEN ‏@JimBowdenESPNxm Yankees & Padres discussing deal that would send Ian Kennedy to Yankees in exchange for Eric Jagielo and Ian Clarkin according to a source That's their #4 and #7 prospects. Don't do it! Jagelo is doing well in A+ ball and is a 3B, and Clarkin has #2-3 upside. Ian Kennedy was traded from NY for a reason.. don't the Yankees learn?
  19. Problems with the Mariners and why the Jays and Yankees(and others) have caught them: 1. Stefan Romero and his sub-Mendoza line average batting 2nd. 2. Trading for a DH they had before who is only slightly better than what they have had with Morrison/Hart/Smoak/Montero.. and sat out 2 months waiting for draft comp to expire. 3. Fielding a lineup of low .200s hitters except for Cano and Seager. 4. Not signing Nelson Cruz in offseason because they didn't have money.. but they just paid for Morales. What a waste.. 5. Elias wearing down, Young a regression candidate, Walker can't throw strikes, and Ramirez, despite decent numbers albeit with lousy control, is in AAA. 6. Ackley is still a bust. 7. Mike Zunino putting up Arencibia-type numbers with a 33% K rate and .255 OBP, even with the HRs. 8. Endy Chavez.. why is he still in the big leagues? 9. Brad Miller is so awful, the Mariners just called up SS prospect Chris Taylor, hoping for a spark.
  20. Delmon Young with a 3-run blast. 4-0 O's. Looks like the Jays will be in the postseason mix by night's end, but still trailing the O's by 3(and so will the Yankees). Meanwhile, Boston will be probably starting the auction on several of their veterans, especially after the Rays slaughter them this weekend.
  21. Does it even matter? Seattle's offense sucks! Regardless, Chen is still the best pitcher the O's have, compared to their pile of #4-5 starters on the roster and Kevin Gausman.
