  1. Wow, the Mets played so bad tonight, the cameraman would rather watch the hockey game.
  2. Can we fire Gibbons yet? Frustrating loss. At least we get Weaver and his low 80s fastball tomorrow, and then a struggling Shoemaker. We really need a win..
  3. Bryce continues to be right... 15 HRs now after hitting one off Eovaldi. He's on a tear, and now tied with Cruz in HRs.
  4. 10 fly balls in that outing(which he was lucky didn't go out of the park) and the inability to go 5 innings sealed his fate.
  5. Well, it was either that or Tepera to AAA.. they did the right thing to get rid of Redmond. He didn't pitch well enough to deserve to stay.
  6. And Kluber's gem goes to waste as the White Sox win in extras after Zach McAllister blew the game by giving up a walk-off single to Carlos Sanchez.
  7. Marcus Semien now up to 14 errors at SS. Ryan Goins/Jose Reyes/Steve Tolleson only have 4 at SS combined. Why don't the A's just move Sogard there to SS and move Semien to 2B or the OF? And you wonder why the A's are in last place.
  8. Rubby De La Rosa pitched a gem vs. the Marlins (9 IP, 6H, 2ER, 5Ks). Too bad Haren also pitched well.. and they're headed to extras tied 2-2. So far, that trade has been horrible for the Red Sox. De La Rosa would be the ace right now for Boston.. but no, they wanted Wade Miley because he had past success in his rookie year.
  9. His name is Dennis Ryan Tepera. That's why it's listed like that. And it is likely a move for a fresh arm.. Tepera will likely return next injury or 10 days, whichever comes first.
  10. Scott Copeland has been recalled from AAA to back up Sanchez for tomorrow. Roster move is yet to be announced. It'll likely be either Tepera to AAA, Loup to the DL, or Redmond DFAd.
  11. Allen Craig's career has basically collapsed. Going from a World Series hero.. to being outrighted off Boston's 40-man. We'll likely never see him again. Probably also means Boston's getting ready to call up one their top pitching prospects soon.. or an infielder, which they are lacking outside of Brock Holt, who is being used mostly in the OF anyway..
  12. They'll just play Preston Tucker more. Didn't you see what he did against us this past weekend? Houston has plenty of depth..
  13. Maybe Gibbons can fight one of the pitchers or the pitching coach Pete Walker.. something has to give!
  14. Shea Hillenbrand's numbers cratered after he left Toronto. And of course, his attitude problems ticked off the Angels the following year as well. Also, much of the reason he hated Gibbons was because he was being played as a DH because Gibbons knew he was a butcher at 3B and 1B. A late season surge by the Yankees, and a lack of pitching depth (boy, doesn't that sound familiar?) killed our chances in 2006.
  15. Buehrle and Dickey aren't exactly helping right now.
  16. Kinda sorta.. but I'm cheering for the Astros to succeed (when they're not facing the Jays.) But it would be nice if the Jays would get their mess cleaned up..
  17. Red Sox embarrassing themselves again in Seattle. James Paxton is carving up that lineup..of course, the Sox can't hit lefties at all. Between us, the Orioles and the Red Sox.. the East is garbage! And even the Yanks are showing signs of fading.
  18. Hopefully to replace Gibbons...
  19. And you know what's shocking? These Astros could move even higher in the standings with their upcoming sked vs. Oakland. Only the Rangers have beaten them this season..
  20. Then Pete Walker needs to go.. he's the microcosm of our troubles.
  21. Gibbons and Pete Walker, along with Jeff Francis, better not be on that plane back to Toronto.. we need changes now! If the Marlins can do it with a similar record, so can we. The only good news is that we're still within distance as the Yankees are showing signs of regression (they're in danger of losing 2/3 to the Royals and have Washington next), the Rays are a question mark, O's suck and Boston still is uncertain. But still, it's time for a change after that terrible trip.
  22. This is basically the 2003 team all over again.. hit everything in sight, couldn't pitch worth sh*t.
  23. And they'd better fire the pitching coach too.
