  1. With the flux of the AL East, it's a real possibility. The division is utter trash right now.. with no clear cut contender. Yanks are fading as badly as the Jays, BTW.. 1-9 in their last 10. But that's more due to Ellsbury's injury and a lack of pitching depth.. Boston's still a question mark, no idea on the O's, and I can't see Tampa holding up long term due to inconsistent offense and a weak rotation after Archer and Odorizzi(and BTW, they stupidly sent down Tim Beckham because he had options, and their bullpen is REALLY taxed.. most innings in the AL, because of lack of length after Archer/Odorizzi.)
  2. Victorino hurt AGAIN.. a leg injury this time. Boston's OF depth is disappearing quickly..
  3. And as a result, Jays lose no ground.. but it's no excuse for us losing again. Win some damn games already!
  4. While we wait and see what's going on in the Jays clubhouse, the Yanks game just ended with a crazy finish.. Yanks, down 5 at one point, got within 1 with Tex hitting a HR, and had the tying run at 1st, before Headley flew out to lose the game vs. the Rangers 10-9.
  5. Possibly a manager or coach getting fired or some players in trouble?
  6. Of course, this division is still bad.. and if you think our mess is bad, look at the circus in Boston! All that money spent and the team is as bad as Toronto. But still, we need wins.. we need to get 2/3 in this series then sweep the White Sox.
  7. Guess it's time to fire Gibbons again after this loss.. but the Yankees are also losing, and I still don't get how the Rays keep winning, when they have no business being a first place team.
  8. Hey, at least this game isn't a train wreck like the mess in Boston right now.. we're losing to the best pitcher in baseball. Besides, we should have a chance vs. Paxton and Walker.. and BTW, Rodon has been scratched Monday. Noesi on Monday.
  9. Didn't you also consider that Seattle is also crap outside of King Felix, and most fans are waiting until the Saturday and Sunday games? And the Jays may have a chance.. Seattle's bullpen is a nightmare (12 losses, tied for worst in the AL and MLB).
  10. So far, Rusney Castillo can't save the Sox.. their pitching is crap again. Porcello pitched poorly, and Matt Barnes and his good fastball are getting pounded back to Pawtucket, where he is likely headed after the game, as he is finally getting exposed vs. the Angels. So far, 9 runs in the 5th for the Angels. 11-3, BTW.] And here's Castillo *great* defense in action:
  11. And the way King Felix is pitching, no wonder he's the best in the league.
  12. Nope. Pitched yesterday. It's Paxton and a wild Taijuan Walker.
  13. LOL Collabello.. but it would've likely been extra bases regardless who was playing RF.
  14. God, Buck and Pat, stop saying that the Mariners are going to hit their stride soon! We all know the Mariners have never hit well.. and McClendon and their hitting coach probably will be gone if the team continues to struggle in the coming weeks.
  15. Because they miss the old turf that was fast and helped the road team..
  16. BTW, here's the Mariners lineup. The outfield will hurt Felix defensively: Miller CF Smith LF Cano 2B Cruz RF Seager 3B Castillo (Wellington) DH (WTF?) Morrison 1B Zunino C Taylor SS That lineup is awful..
  17. Rusney Castillo called up. If this doesn't work out, Castillo turns out to be a bust, and doesn't turn around the Red Sox season, Cherington and Farrell are likely to be fired by the All-Star break. This is basically their last chance..
  18. All inflated by Nelson Cruz. Take him out and the Mariners lineup's wOBA is about even or worse than the Jays.
  19. He's basically hoping Boston sells the farm and picks up his option.. which Boston is currently in no position right now, with the team struggling badly offensively, and could pretty much put themselves out of contention if they don't hit lefties and beat the Angels and Twins this weekend.
