  1. So many bleeders... lucky we got out of that with only 2 runs.
  2. Did Zaun just say that the White Sox are a better team than they've shown and have a decent coaching staff? If that's true.. why can't this Sox team score, or pitch decently?
  3. Braves will counteract by DFAing him shortly..
  4. Only 15,168 at the ballpark.. but that's more due to being Monday night and a team that is absolute garbage right now in the White Sox.
  5. Rays attendance continues to suck.. why bother to contend when they're getting Expos level attendance?
  6. Buck thinks the Nats are loaded with pitching.. actually, Gio Gonzalez and Strasburg have been awful this year, Zimmermann has been mixed, and Fister's on the DL, forcing Roark into the rotation. Scherzer's the only good starter on that team.. and the Nats have the benefit of a terrible NL East with two doormats (Miami, Philly) and a sliding Mets team. A weak schedule helps too..
  7. You know, these White Sox are so bad, I actually am doing something else right now other than watching the game.. this is going to be a joke of a series, which I see the Jays having a good shot at a sweep.
  8. Avisail Garcia hurt AGAIN.. considering he's the only quality bat in the White Sox lineup, the Jays are certainly going to win this..
  9. Forgot to mention this... Marcum sucked! 2.2IP, 4H, 7ER, 3BB, 6K, 2 HR. He'll be DFAd tomorrow after this.. and the Indians are losing 10-8 to the red-hot Rangers.
  10. And all these runs wouldn't have happened if Alexei actually made that play..
  11. Not with their upcoming schedule: Mariners (twice), Orioles, Angels (twice), White Sox, and the Nationals. They can't afford more injuries..
  12. Yeah right.. have you even seen Noesi pitch this year? He's been garbage. He's only starting because Rodon needs a break.
  13. Souza also strikes out a TON.. and DeJesus is a platoon player, and Cabrera sucks and is close to a DFA.. if the Rays didn't owe him a ton of money.. he was supposed to be a piece to trade at the deadline, but right now, the Rays will likely get nothing for him. Also, the Rays are still looking to trade DeJesus.. they can't afford his $5M and his option for 2016. And they're likely to start more trades by the deadline.. they're likely going to have to cut payroll after this season, and the payroll is projected at $81M for 2016.. unfortunately, injuries to Loney and Jaso limit the Rays options. It's not out of the question that the Rays may have to consider dealing Longoria at some point.. based on arb projections, the Rays will not be able to afford this roster in a few years.
  14. And nobody will see it at stadium, as they won't draw at all.. they drew 15K on Sat. and Sun. I doubt they even draw 10K in any of the games this series, as the Mariners are not a draw.. those numbers need to start improving, or ownership will be forced to sell players regardless of their record. They're currently averaging the lowest attendance in baseball (14,984), and you can't sustain a business model with numbers like that. It pretty much means the Rays will not be able to add at the deadline, while the rest of the AL East, including the Jays, will have flexibility to add talent.
  15. True, but unless Archer and Odorizzi get some help soon, the Rays are going to sink in the standings fast. And they just lost Loney for 2-3 weeks due to an injury. And BTW, DeJesus, despite his strong numbers, is a platoon player. Also, the Rays are facing Elias, Happ and King Felix. Tough series.. the Rays could be back to .500 by the end of this series if they don't hit.
  16. This is a division leader? Looks more like the Durham Bulls lineup.. god, is the AL East a sh*t storm.. even the Jays are a good week from possibly being at the top of the division.. let's start tonight!
  17. But they hit well to offset it. And Kyle Gibson and Trevor May, along with Phil Hughes, would disagree.
  18. So much for the Red Sox pitching turning the corner.. the Twins are giving them a rude awakening as expected. Joe Kelly's day is done.. not as bad as Guthrie, but not far off: 1.2 IP, 8H, 7ER, 1BB, 0K, 1HR. Knew this would happen.. the Twins are a far superior team than the Angels.
