  1. They probably need one solid bullpen piece (not a closer just a top tier 7th inning guy), at least one good SP (#2-3), move Osuna to the rotation if possible. Other than that, obviously a competent coach would help, but they won't get rid of Gibbons
  2. offense needs to stay focused and score some here...
  3. pathetic, didn't even give us a chance to win at all and hurt our chances tomorrow
  4. Your prediction wasn't very bold, you essentially predicted they would win game 4 versus Holland... I think most people felt pretty comfortable with that prediction...
  5. Easy to say it was easy to predict after it happens... Fact is their chance of winning two games was not that high, but they are the better team
  6. My favourite thing about this forum is when all the forum vets say something and it turns out to be wrong, they blame the 'casuals'... Plenty of what you would describe as regulars definitely were happy with our opponent being Texas for the exact reason you stated: they thought it was the easiest team. Go look in the other threads
  7. Ya, affecting our chance of winning each game by 1% is pretty significant for a reliever (i.e. about 1.6 wins better than who he will be replaced with - which will be someone like Lowe/Loup depending on how they match up). My point is it's still pretty negligible when you look at their chances of winning 3 games
  8. "pretty decent hit", like, 1% in each game max?
  9. What impact do you actually think the loss of Cecil has on winning a particular game? It's near negligible. Jays are still the better team...
  10. Funnily enough people seem to underestimate their actual chance of winning. It's not great, but it's not 'completely screwed', at worst they have about a 1/8 chance of winning, and its probably closer to 1/6, not really terrible (obviously not great)
  11. Being favoured for 3 games still makes us significant underdogs
  12. This thread is just here to cause drama... I think he was out but it was the correct call after review to call him safe, no way you can overturn that
  13. Regardless of whether or not the ump was good/bad, the Jays have been awful. These are the two worst consecutive games they've played since the trade deadline....
  14. I can only assume he meant the teams that made the playoffs
  15. and 11/14 execs chose them to win
  16. http://espn.go.com/mlb/playoffs2015/story/_/page/playoffs15_WSwinner/my-prediction-win-world-series Not sure what everyone thinks about Stark, but this is a nice morning of the WC game read for those who want to get more hyped about this team. Lots of nice quotes from other teams execs (at least allegedly) Don't know what's thread worthy around here but I think this is
  17. Implicitly he has earned it since he's pitched fine. I think they also won't want to abuse Stroman too much in a 3man rotation so there's not many other options here
