Ummm.... how? The Orioles are a superior team and better-run organization than we are, it's just the reality of the situation. The real embarrassment is 21 years and counting of no playoffs and refusing to even plan for the future.

Stroman's a badass, definitely one of the few players I want to keep during the rebuild.

It's annoying when the team sucks and/or is losing. For instance, the "Lo Viste" crap from last year was rage-inducing.

I wanted them to be sellers, but then I realized that AA would screw that up too. Might as well stand pat, wait out the rest of the inevitable mediocre season, and then start the rebuild in the offseason with a new GM.

Hopefully soon. I actually think shutting off the funds to AA is a good sign, as it shows that they don't trust him to use that money responsibly and not f*** up the team even further. Can't imagine Rogers wants to keep morons they don't trust anymore in charge of their investment. I know I get a bad rap as being a pessimist, but if Rogers does the right thing and fires Beeston/AA and hires Zaidi, I'll be the biggest sunshine-pumping homer on the planet.

It's eerily similar to the last few years of the Expos, except at least the Expos had the excuses of a penny-pinching business community, Loria, and Selig to point to for their lack of a direction and inability to consistently spend. This mess is all on Beeston and AA, period.

I'm not riled up at all. I've seen the "but you liked the trades when they happened!" defense for AA plenty of times on here, and it makes no sense. Initial fan reaction is immaterial, what matters is the results and those have been awful.
