  1. https://watch.sportsnet.ca/watch/Rays_reporter_Tricia_Whitaker_gets_drenched_with_champagne_in_postseason_celebrations_93330 Horses Fart has a money shot obcession.
  2. no jinxes lol Fun night last night. Hopefully the celebration loosens them up, so they play well, and hammer home top WC.
  3. LOL. Funny. Hazel hangs in there. She is tough. Does a pretty good job.
  4. No bleeps for the Managers "speech" lol.
  5. Yup. Ryu in relief of him throwing right handed.
  6. Hmm...But Steib almost always had a wipe out pitch - slider. Away from righties and back foot to lefties. Cant say that about Alek's stuff much. I remember that start in July last year. 10 K with 7 in a row vs Rays. He had the SL going that night. I thought we would see more of that in '22 but he has still been great. https://www.cbc.ca/sports/baseball/mlb/mlb-toronto-blue-jays-tampa-bay-rays-recap-july-2-1.6088873
  7. Exactly. He has good movement. Side to side, up and down. Lots of speed changes. He really had that great cartoon slider like he had last year often. Love how he mixed in the change early when he didn't have FB feel. But Berrios has great movement too and everything seems to leak back right on to a f***ing barrel!
  8. If Berrios is inexplicably bad, some of Manoah's starts are inexplicably good. Hard to see sometimes whats special about his arsenal of stuff or command, but he just keeps racking up solid outings. Been incredible. His missed Kirks spot by almost 2 feet that last pitch to Xander and it still wiped him out on his hands. Way to go ya horse!
  9. Top of the order working Manoah. 15 pitches for 1 out. Love to see a DP here, but we'll take the K! Nice pitch!!
  10. Feels like the playoffs really start tonight. 6 games. Home turf at stake. Big! Don't want to go out West, definitely not the Trop or CLE!!
  11. I actually like a lot of his analysis. He was breaking down economic value of hosting the wildcard = not much. He was telling the story on the owner demanding he signed Stanton, and how that went down. As in "whats your number?" Number given. Answer "done". The Berrios comment I hope to f*** he is just being a shock jock on. Guy sure has high praise for Shapiro.
  12. Did you watch "Facing Nolan" on Netflix? Takes you back 20 + years in a hurry. CAL Angels GM publically ridiculing Ryan contract ask over his 1979 16-14 season. Said "I can sign two 8-7 pitchers for less than he wants" He threw 222 IP. Led the league in Ks and had a 3.22 FIP but he didnt "win" enough.
  13. Listening to David Samson, former Marlins President for 15 years. Does the "Nothing Personal" podcast. Kind of shocking to hear his comments about Berrios. FWIW he said he is being paid like a 2 and pitching like an 8. And that the Jays FO this off season might consider releasing him. Seems like a bizarre overstatement. He was certainly hinting that they are really concerned this isn't a blip season. He is really tight with Shapiro.
  14. Don't have to move him. Sign Conforto if he is healthy and milk whats left with Teo. You can later make a decision if you want to Qualify or dump in deal at the '23 deadline. Not sure how much trade value he or LGJ have left. Teo has has one outlier 4 WAR season but LGJ is consistently 1 to 2.
  15. We are in! Still work to do. 6 games left. The 3 AL wildcard teams have been limping into the post season the last 10 games: TOR is 4-6 SEA is 5-5 TAM is 3-7 Time to turn it up and nail home field. Get hot at the right time! Its there for the taking. Play harder. Play better.
  16. He isn't having a '21 sized year but Semien has been worth 4.3 WAR and tonight he got another. Cheering for Tex seems weird after 15 and 16 but I'm down for it.
  17. Watching "super pets" movie with my 5 year old daughter sneaking my eye on Gameday to follow that game. Thank f***!! 2-1. Bases full. 3-2. Yikes. Opening for us. Let's W tomorrow.
  18. Enough for me already. Props to Judge on breaking 60. Great accomplishment. But Barry Bonds holds the single season MLB Home Run record.
  19. Fuk. I mean walk the talk. Saying "my house" and "this year is the movie" is fine by me. Any decent fan won't expect you to hit a walk off every time you get a chance. Thats ok. Its baseball. But enough as a team with giving the opposition extra outs making our own on the base paths so much...and hustle 100%...especially now when home field is at stake every play. The end is in sight. There is no acceptable excuse, and the "they're young" line is a joke. ITs easier to hustle when you are younger. Trust me I know lol.
  20. Last nights game sucked. Rays won. M's lost. The last time Vlad started yelling "my house" we went on a skid. Last night in thier house the f***ing Yanks celebrated beating us for the D title. Schnieder publicly called out Vlad's lack of hustle after the game. I'm done with the "they're young" excuses some make. Lets hope they bring their A game back tonight!
  21. Love his work ethic. He just isn't very good at it overall by any metric. Lots used to say he will get better. I'd argue he has. It's just that he still isn't very good. He is 25 next season. Definitely would not want to pay him long term SS dough.
  22. He is a big basketball fan but also some great baseball stuff on his pod. Drills into the numbers and looks under the hood. Mixed in with a nice dose of unabashed Jays fandom.
  23. Blake is good. Jays talk PLUS is good. He is a numbers guy. I yield on this one. They made the right call.
  24. Judge not great on sliders. I liked Bass vs Judge last night. Rizzo crowds the plate and gets hit a lot. He also walks a lot. Mayza has a lot of run on his pitches and it's a dangerous cocktail with no place to put Rizzo. With bases loaded I liked Bass there. But I also understand don't let Judge beat you. It worked out and it was a W so it looks brilliant. Props to Schneider for having balls either way.
