    Where would be really be without Whit this year? Versatility and consistency. Great deal. I’ve always said Ross Atkins is a genius beyond repute.

    We would have to eat a ton of the 3/75 remaining. He seems healthy but so far this year he just isn’t the impact player we need. I keep hoping he lights up.

    Here we go again. Last night cost me sleep I was so fired up after that loss I couldn't close my eyes. WTF was Espy doing after the ball went off Vlad's glove? The only run that mattered with 2 outs was Will Smith and the tying run but we let him "JD-2016 vs Rangers" us. Even with a bad hop on Chappy, and Swanson rather sucking that should have been a W...again. Anyhow...flushed that out. Lets go Jays! Win the series.

    As soon as I saw that go off the glove to Espy I thought the trail runner might try and come around to tie it. If Espy reacts right away he has him DOA.

    I think so. If he keeps getting people out they will. Pearson just wasn’t consistent enough. Jackson must be loving it being up financially as he just had a new baby. Or is his money guaranteed this year whether he is up or in AAA?

    Tim Anderson? Man he not a good fielder, and his bat has been hopeless this year. I don't know why he is even being talked about, if he is. A negative WAR player this year with a 56 wRC+. Someone might want him for cheap looking for a dead cat bounce.

    Anyone still think Pearson can have a future as a SP? Just seems to me his command is just so bad on all his pitches it doesn’t seem realistic. He can get away with it sometimes as a RP. He just doesn’t miss barrels enough or get enough whiffs. Kind of reminds me of Merryweather last year. Gulp.

    Ya. He hit that ball 107. Good to see him and the Jays get something to show for it. I hope Varsho gets hot or at least semi hot now. We need that bat.

    What Moreno has done or not done this year is largely irrelevant. It’s the value he was at as our top prospect and where he was ranked in baseball. That was his value at the time of the deal. Who drafted Martin?

    Maybe. He had one big year bolstered by D stats. His career wRC+ is 94 in 1400 PAs. He is 27 now. That’s not a LF I want starting on this team. Maybe you can make an argument in CF but we have one better in 23. Maybe next year he moves over.

    Omar bud. I get it man. Its a bit unfair. But we gave up our top prospect...and a RHH LF, which we now need at the deadline. You have to be f***ing sure he is going to come close to 4.7 WAR consistently....he is a lot closer to making 1. If AA made this trade his nuts would be boiled in hot oil and fricasseed.

    Fair. I think Varsho is border line elite, but he isn't KK. Varsho jumps are good but KK's 100th percentile. It doesnt get better. Varsho arm strength is only 37th percentile. KK still has 91st percentile sprint speed which is mind boggling.

    KK and Belt for the most part have been full value this season. Props on those short term deals. Aging Springer el blows lately. 3/75 left on that deal.

    Yep. This is his best offensive year over 200 PAs since 2015.

    Hey. take it easy. You are talking about our clean up hitter to start the season. He has 2 options.

    Bradley Zimmer had an 89 wRC+ and was worth 1.5 WAR in 2021 for CLE. This is what we are aspiring to now from Varsho. Nice inning Berrios.

    At this point I expect no less or more. A 72 wRC+. Casuals going ape s*** raving about his bunting prowess.
