  1. Glad they finally moved Springer down. Whit is pretty reliable. Still think Springer is going to get hot again and looking forward to it.
  2. Like I'd put my money on Reggie over Billy Martin, I'd put everything I had on Chappy, in a Chappy vs Gibby battle royale. Gibby would be the one ending up on the stretcher.
  3. SEA wont be selling agreed. They are quietly on a mini roll and 3 games over .500 6-4 in their last 10. They are having the same "if our underperformers come around we can make a run" discussion we Jays fan's are having. The difference is we sit 1 slim 1.5 games up for final WC.
  4. The reality is this franchise didn’t make a single playoff game from 1994 to 2015. We didn’t melt. The narrative that somehow we couldn’t handle a real rebuild or a few very down years with a clearly communicated plan for the future, that our loyal fan base can get behind, is a total red herring narrative to give excuses to the current FO in my view. I actually thought that was what we were getting with these guys. That’s not a condemnation of their body of work as they don’t deserve one. But there have been many decisions worthy of criticism.
  5. 0-0 in the 4th Yanks O's. I feel so twisted hoping for Cole and the Yanks to win.
  6. Really expensive. That deal for Giolito is indicative of rental prices. Steep. This FO might surprise us. Nobody saw the Berrios deal coming with the Twins. Not their MO. Last deadline was kind of a yawner although Whit has paid off.
  7. Why Belt so low? He has been worth twice the WAR of Vlad and has a 122 wRC+.
  8. AKA known as Bradley Zimmer. I do agree for '23. Start over in the spring for '24 and if needs to play CF and C as a back up to justify being in the line up, so be it.
  9. Nice win!!! Get Romano on the massage table fast and the Dr. Ho going.
  10. I dont know. He has better numbers than Clause this season. He isn't the top guy but he is definitely up there on the closer leaderboard.
  11. Romano's FB is so straight and he has no command of it a lot of outings. Hence the endless SL use. Never easy. Pucker up time.
  12. Speed is a big part of his game. Age is tough on that. His stats are puffed up because he has been raking at an unsustainable level. I don't expect this to continue. Not against a deal for him. Valuable piece and good player. Not anywhere close to 3/45 though. MAYZA is good!!
  13. Guy is 35. He has been great but I'd be cautious. No chance on 3/45. He is a 2 ish WAR player who has been smoking hot. Recency bias.
  14. Couldnt agree more. Kooch was f***ing shoving that start and his stuff was electric. Its was not a "normal" early Kooch pull lol which I always support.
  15. Gobsmacked. That was a beautiful job by Swanson. If that was the Jays offense we would all be livid lol
  16. Bo's non-run looms large. Gausman gassed. Good start but now its all on the pen.
  17. Varsho PAs have been unwatchable for the most part. The Titanic could fit through the holes in his swing.
  18. He absolutely did. Brilliant job. Nelson completely f***ed Navarro and Revere, and thus us. I’ll never get over it. My son was 7 and knew enough about ball then to know those strike calls changed at bats dramatically and erupted in tears when it was over and ran to his room. I was mostly just angry lol.
  19. Starting CF for the Toronto Blue Jays 2015. Good for him though. Seriously. That overwhelming vast majority of ball players don't even get an AB in MLB.
  20. I'll never forget him taking a swing for the BoSox and he was so fat his belt exploded. Another case of buying high after a WS tear he went on. Mo, Prince, Vlad, Kirk - long term deals and bad body types usually dont age well.
  21. Jano has this injury wrap but to be fair to him getting HBP, which has happened to him to keep him out, is a tough bar to in part judge someones durability by. Thats just unlucky. Could happen to Bo or any player at any at bat any day. (I realize he has missed time for other injuries too)
  22. You guys and your Gibby lore and longing. His memory is better than his managing, which is wrapped up in '15 and '16 big club moments.
  23. Kooch is connected to the Yakuza, and will have a finger removed from JS.
