Still pissed off over those sac bunt calls. Stupid ass giving up outs.
Just lucky Pillar got one through or we would have totally f***ed a gift horse inning...
He is doing what he has done for over a decade. Looks same to me.
Throwing goo and giving up lots of hits getting decent numbers...and racking up 200 IPs / year for 20mm. He isn't done but he is what he is.
up 7-0 Machado HR don't mean s***...Ill take Hutch being aggressive over nibbling and walking guys any day
f*** you Machado
Keep pumping em in there Hutch
Is it just me or is Reyes playing better D? He looks more confident and has even made a couple plays showing a bit more rainge, I don't think he makes in 2014.
I don't get that fear feeling and bile taste every time a ball is hit his way this year.
I was a Lawrie fan but JD power (especially to CF and RF) is just impressive and the D is there....making me forget him quickly.
Martin is also looking much more the player we signed - I haven't looked but we have probably already thrown out more runners than all of 2014.
Love what Im seeing and who wouldn't...but small sample size. Looks like he will stick but I expect he will have regression and struggles. The way he is using the whole field is most impressive to me. His start has vastly exceeded my expectations....but then again last time I looked Gose and Lind were both hitting .400...early days.
All true...and it sucks. But at least we have 2 rings. The Mariners came in at the same time as us and have SFA really to show for it.
Trying to look at the bright side here.
I like our team this year over 162 but concern lack of depth/quality pitching will derail it. Same concern I had going in even before losing Stro.
Martin for the most part has thrown the ball well. That's a huge 2 outs for Norris.
He looks dodgy on command and velocity, so I hope it helps him find some rhythm. Falling behind.
Our starters throw soooo many pitches. Cant get deep into a game.
Agree...venting aside...its far too early to access anyone yet. Even Navarro. AA likely was praying he would get off to a productive start and then try to use him for pen help in a deal. He is a frustrating hitter to watch too often. argh.
Tough start for RA and first BS for our closer but a nice gut check win for the boys.
Pompey legging out that IH was huge.
Uber concerned about our pitching but our offense should be fine. Nice job.
Calm. What I expected is happening. We didn't get the arms we knew we needed to start or for pen and losing Stro was potential death blow. We have 3 number 3 SPs and 2 rookies. We have a leaky pen with no real closer. This was a cognizant choice of ownership and mgm.
We have a strong offense but it can be one dimensional - Travis and Pillar have exceeded expectations so far. Pompey struggling a bit.
We haven't blown April as badly as 2013 and Reyes got 10 games in before he hit the DL. (every time he runs I hold my breath for the inevitable news)
BOS retooled. The O's and them appear to be our competition although TB just kicked our asses at home.
All in all we have em right where we want em. I'm good.
Nothing has changed. Closest we had to that might have been Stro. We pretty much have some 3s and a 4 and a 5 ish who can have very good starts...or not. We throw a lot of pitches.
The only good news we aren't the only teams in that situation in the AL East etc.
