  1. No manager wants to knee jerk react and Sanchez was left in a role he should have been moved out of a month before they did, but the trend with Osuna is concerning to me. Osuna was excellent for a lot of the yr but the last 5 weeks he has really struggled. Closer slumps are something a team cant afford in the playoffs. Lowe and Cecil are on better runs.
  2. Through all the big HR years and decades of history of MLB, it was surprising me that we are the first EVER AL team with 3 players with 39 HRs or more. I like round numbers so I hope Edwin tags 40 today.
  3. A "glass half full" take on Osuna's BS yesterday from Dividi. http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/nothing-to-worry-about-osunas-blown-save/ From the start of September up until yesterday (Oct 2) Osuna: 6.35 K/9, 3.18 HR/9, 30.8% HR/FB, 4.76 ERA, 6.84 FIP
  4. Im coming from Calgary. Waiting doesn't work for out of town fans. Had little choice but to get raped. Checked out stubhub and fanexchange. Paid more than I should have but F it. Going to games 1 and 2! Only live once. Go Jays!
  5. He is a thoroughbred and will always go for the ball hard. Fans need to know this and be alert at all times (this includes parents of kids). Bats and foul balls as well as plays. As a side note I've seen JD very concerned about fans being hit by balls or thrown bats several times....walking over to that area when up at the plate. Talking to the umps about it etc. Almost visibly shaken by it.
  6. ^ this. Post Cecils numbers since mid August. We don't have the luxury of closer labels in the playoffs with a struggling 20 year old rookie, much as I like what the kid has done for us and will do in the playoffs and the future.
  7. So if we can win tomorrow and KC loses we still are first AL seed? Like that line in Dumb and Dumber...."so you're sayin' there is still a chance?"
  8. It might happen. I agree with you on that. Best suited for playoffs anyway.
  9. Big Osuna fan here....relax. There is a trend that has been sustained with Osuna where he is missing his spots and giving up hard contact. This is not the first time the Board has raised these concerns even when he has eked out a save/W.
  10. ....not sure I follow that logic given how tonight played out. We didn't need to use Cecil in the 8th...we could have used Lowe. Cecil could have closed.
  11. I really like Osuna but he is in a sustained period of getting hit hard. He isn't throwing enough off speed or he is throwing bad off speed like the sliders to Souza a foot off the plate. Seems to have no confidence in his change. Gibby needs to consider change to Cecil who has been dominant.
  12. Need the change on Souza. Lets get Loney!! they wont change but Cecil is far more dominant than Osuna for the last 6 weeks.
  13. Froze him....one more Osuna!
  14. He has a good one but he misses his spots and uses it too often. Lots of hard contact lately. Lets get out of this!
  15. Cmon Osuna!! Use your mix
  16. Lowe has touched 99 MPH...wont be as pleasant for him as Papa B's HBP's.
  17. Gibby matching up for a W tonight like it means something.
  18. was just being sarcastic.
  19. Talking about him catching Estrada...and Gibby started to then go on about his offensive capabilities. no question.
  20. Unfortunately its been our lights that go out
  21. Gibby said the other day Navarro is "one of our best hitters". I just don't get that. For a mediocre Defensive C he does ok I suppose.
  22. We want HFA...we cant be messing around with any 200 IP milestones and that's why we are going with our best......Hutch.
  23. Awesome. He has been lights out on the road all season.
  24. In NY with all their LHH and that ridiculous short RF chip shot.....not liking that match up.
  25. I puked over 4/60 for Marco and then over that line shot he just gave up to Loney that he almost hit out.
