    Fair enough. I get that. But this is a business and he is a pro. I cut Tulo that slack last year no problem but it's 2016 - you are making 20 million bucks so earn it. Also he has a no trade now to prevent it happening again I believe.

    It hasn't, but more so that almost anything we have been dissecting this guy for years. I've always been skeptical of Sanchez's ceiling for reasons stated on this board ad nauseam. But I'm done with that for now. I'm really excited to see if he can maintain close to what he did in the Spring and in his first start against Tanaka and NYY today. They have some solid LHH's and guys like Beltran have touched him up before. I can't stand the f***ing Yankees. Off Day Over. Bring it on!

Even if he can come back to just an above league avg bat (which I think he will) with his D he has a lot of value with the other offensive capabilities of this team.

    2014 - 170 wRC+ for Tulo. That's a staggering number for a SS who can play some D. Last year 100. How about 135 wRC+ meet in the middle this year? I don't believe in mental betrayal blah blah either. Its conceivable though that Tulo stays healthy and gets hot and bashes the f*** out of the ball for a few months out of a long season. Lets see what happens.

    As frustrating as it to watch these two struggle (and they have hit some balls hard right at people) I find comments from some like this 7 games in even more frustrating. Whats the point? Martin and Tulo have both enjoyed far above avg seasons in the not distant past, and even if they regress some, their D combo makes them valuable assets. After 200 PAs this is a much better discussion, and hopefully its changed to the positive for those two.

    I don't think we will see 170 wRC+ Tulo again but I think he will come around. He doesn't seem to have a plan at the plate right now. Takes decent FB strikes to hit and chases breaking balls. Hope it's just a post leg kick experiment slump.

    Seemed he was just aiming it to make a clean relay rather than leaning into it. It didn't even make it in the air to Goins so it took a nice pick from Goins to make the play. Something to watch for but I don't think it's anything.

    Had to leave game for a bit and PvR'ed it. Just finished watching it. Wow. Estrada was amazing coming into a 1st start. That change is so for real. Relay was huge. Big DP started by Barney staying with that smash to him. Osuna has the change working better this season so far. nice bounce back boys. nothing stopping us now.

    Time to break the curse bud! It's a good day for it. My son was 1-8 until the final home stand 2015 sweep against the Rays. Tide has turned!

    It's been frustrating the last 4 games and some of the K rates. But you got to stop drawing any conclusions in our 7th game. Martin, for example, started off worse than this 2015.

    Meh. Most fans are far from being panicked. I'm not anyway. You could say the same thing about Carerra as our 4th OF. But that doesn't make it the right personnel decision. Losing 4 games is based on a number of factors. It hasn't just been the pen either.

    Honestly. Such a dumb idea. Right from the start. 95% of the net ball junkies on BJMB all saw it. Why couldn't Gibby? Some of those swings yesterday were classic Pillar. He is what he is and that's ok (with his D) but put him in a line up spot to succeed.

    Didn't he start 1 for 23 last season? He will come around. I don't think we will see the guy who had a. 390 OBP for PITT but D is where it counts most for him. All said and done he will give us a decent offensive season for a C.

    I'd much rather win the f***ing division, ALCS and WS this season. I'll take flags over prospects anytime. What we get for those two at the deadline as rentals (if they waived no trade) would have to be more than our QO picks and who knows if there are offers like that would even be on the table.

    Jesus, the K's we are racking up in the early part of the season are epic. We just aren't putting the ball in play enough.

    They are. Its the 3rd inning and we just aren't playing very well yet. Things are just going wrong at all possible worst times. Its going to turn around and with who is on the mound we have a great shot in this game. This team doesn't suck.

    If it walks (or doesn't ) like a duck and it quacks like a duck its a f***ing duck. Please get Pillar out of a spot that gives him more ABs than anyone else on this offense. He is what he is.
