  1. I play everyone some in the OF and IF some and every kid sits some. These are 8-9-10 year olds. But I never play the kids who aren't any good at 1B, Pitcher or catcher. Its beyond brutal if you do and they can get hurt. That doesn't mean they don't ask to do it....allllll the fking time.
  2. I had 14 the other night....its stressful!! All asking you questions about where they play....can they play here....can they pitch....can they catch. No matter how many times I tell them.
  3. 3 games for Gibby? Excellent Smithers....this could be the start of a new roll for the Jays.
  4. Jays are huge here now with the youth. I see it coaching the little league. Tons of Jays blue everywhere. I just hope this years team can keep some momentum up.
  5. Ya, I thought I did. Sorry. Just click on the link....its all there. I took the text out. I'm 50 not 20....my computer skills suck compared to yours.
  6. Love this story....little bandwagoners. Justin Morneau said he wanted to focus on baseball after watching the Jays became perennial contenders in 87. Hope the boys can get hot and pull off a run to keep up this momentum.... 7. Ya, thanks for the pep talk off the ledge. I'm feeling really beleaguered and morose with the season so far. My expectations were high because of the talent here and I know: 1. Sans maybe Travis the solution to the current play will have to come from within. (the crazy thing is we have been relatively healthy and lucky DL wise so far 2016 and we still aren't playing well) 2. 2017 and beyond we wont have this kind of team with playoff aspirations for awhile. Having said all that I tend to agree with you, BTS and Iwok that they need to grind this out and get production from those that they expected to produce pos WAR. I agree that it it should come...but its not looking good right now. There are no moves of consequence to be made. We are going to dance with the ones that brung us in 2015. I don't think that blowing this team up (even if they could) makes any sense.
  8. I don't think we are into dismantling at all. I picked 93 wins for this team to win the Div. If my math is right, that would mean .607 winning ball from tonight until the end of the season. I was in Hous on May 15th 2015 when we lost 4 in a row and it looked dire as hell then too. But I don't see that kind of run happening with this team again. BTS is right on the main reasons we are scuffling. I'd also add taking a .400+ BABIP of Cola and 23 HR's of power from Martin out of the offense is whats killing this team so far.
  9. Unwatchable is right. And I'm die hard. Decided to take my son fishing tonight instead of watch it. Just checked GDT and score. I think I made the right call
  10. I'll still take Jose's knockout punch Game 5 dinger off Dyson over Odor's bat flip sucker punch any day.
  11. Chavez splits against LHH not good. Yesterday a RHH got to him. Overall he has been amongst our best.
  12. If sucker punches like that become the new retribution standard for a pimp; a heavy slide; or a beaning....then players will be dropping all over the diamond. It rarely, if ever, happened before for a good reason.
  13. Jose didn't ever make a fist as you said...watched it many times in slow mo. Mind you once buttoned on the chin by Odor his motor reflexes wouldn't have even allowed him too if he wanted. I think Jose expected what usually happens...shoving and pushing and yelling. That was as close to a sucker punch as it gets. Having said that Bautista should have been more ready if he is going to make an obvious retaliation play like that in that heated of a situation. Like Martin was after Prince was plunked. We've seen that kind of quick punch in hockey a few times, but usually there is a ritual of telegraphing what might be coming. What a disaster of a day all round losing a series again, and now facing suspensions of our top players.
  14. Wish they would leave that chatter off twitter.
  15. That's baseball and its been going against for the most part 2016. This game isn't over yet. Be nice to have Cecil in the pen. Let's go Birds!
  16. Nice job on Odor. 2 out RBI 2B by a scrub. When its going bad.... Lets go Jays. Keep grinding boys. We need this W.
  17. Lets go Smoakie.....take a single......even a BB here.
  18. Well said. I hope he can come back and add production, but expectations shouldn't be what he was to start 2015. Our vets are going to have to grind their way out of this.
  19. All season. Why come inside? Unless it's way in.
  20. I don't want to be chicken little, but this bold is true/obvious. We have lost so many games this year we could and/or should have won, if our talent just played at their avg career capacity. I don't buy into an assumed tear at some point like last year is coming. We just haven't played good consistent ball overall aside from the rotation. It's starting to really add up 6 weeks in and it will matter in the Fall. I know that the coming years with no Jose/Edwin and an aging Tulo/Martin etc are going to be leaner so feel hopeful this year we can get it together.
  21. I don't know bud. I look at this differently. This talent should have scored more off Lewis and the finally got to TEX and got our due in the 9th. We squandered the inning with Carerra on 3B with no outs and we had RISP in extras with our Big 3 up. The Big 3 RISP numbers are god awful. I don't blame the pen for this loss. I thought Floyd throwing a cutter or slider (87) was a questionable pitch to Stubbs as he was beating him on FBs away and his hook was filthy...but whatever. They were still pretty good. Maybe this loss bugs me more because I watched the BoSox yesterday aft tie HOU today with 2 out in the 9th and then go on to finish the job in extras with 2 outs. Papi in both cases. We are digging a huge hole. I know the BoSox aren't this good but we have 2 teams to climb over. That's never easy. Any championship team has to win some gms they have no business winning. Win the series today. p.s We have a great D. It needs to tighten the f*** up. PBs and OF tweeners on miscommunication etc costing us far too many runs for this talent.
  22. He swung at a similar s*** pitch or worse 3-0 in San Fran in a key situation. Just so frustrating.
  23. Its all about the W's. Going to be some lean years ahead again.
  24. Horrible 3-1 pitch for Edwin to swing at with the go ahead run at 2B when they are clearly pitching around you....low and away breaking ball.
