  1. Never thought I'd EVER say it but I am more confident in Sanchez than any other TOR SP.
  2. Prefer Devlin to Buck. Less platitudes and drunken influence on my kid. He has a soothing curling voice.
  3. Buh-bye Junior. Not going to quibble about this line up. That's tough for any arm to navigate if they are swingin it. I don't mind Devo in 9 turning it over. Can't wait to see Jose back and playing for the big $$$ in the spotlight.
  4. Its not a stupid FO, and Ive got a lot of faith in them. But this one I don't get. Punting Storen and his $ took balls. To me it shows a commitment to ensuring those that produce play, but Barnes needs a shot. Tepara has good stuff, but he has never produced at this level. If I hear about his "reverse splits" one more time I may go postal.
  5. I think that's a solid take. Lets hope so.
  6. Thanks Org. That's what I was wondering. The numbers JFL19 posted are good and tell one story, but I don't think the pen has been that solid. Mind you giving up 3 leads in OAK probably skewed my views recently. Hopefully those positive numbers to date produce better results going forward.
  7. I get that logic. I think we have blown 14-15 leads and allowed 40+ of 140 ish inherited runners to score. Just trying to juxtapose against the numbers you posted to see whether we have been really unlucky and/or some of our relievers just suck in high leverage. The O's, NYY and BoSox all have pretty good pens too.
  8. Interesting. Not that suprising. Where do they sit on blowing leads and allowing inherited runners to score?
  9. I'm actually suprised at this for all the reasons BTS mentioned in another thread yesterday. It doesn't excite me unless we get a better arm to replace him. At least with Storen we could always hope he would find it again. Having said that he was a gas can, and it tells me Shapiro is prepared to cut bait on major investments that aren't producing. I know Ben has has had a tough year but he was a big part of what happened in 2015. Speed, contact, OBP(for us) and filled a 2015 hole in LF.
  10. ^ yup. Pray he figures it out. There is nothing else they can do. With this pen, we need he and Cecil to give us some quality innings.
  11. Agreed. The two arms they threw at us pitched well, and they got some heavy lumber. Get em tomorrow.
  12. 3-4 post AS break. This isn't how I drew it up. Let's hope we make some solid additions, get Jose back healthy, peak soon and carry it right through the playoffs. Like those fking ridiculously lucky Royals did last year.
  13. Lol. Ok. And is NOT from Cuba I should have clarified.
  14. This team sucks. What it needs is another power bat. One that can drive the ball; gets on base a lot and is named Jose.
  15. With the depth everyone is seeking in their rotations, and Chavez's SP success in OAK there is no way he clears waivers. As much as he has sucked ocassionally for us, he is a valuable arm.
  16. Ump changes whole AB on a pitch 4-6 inches low.
  17. Biagini has been a blessing. Nice job. Now let's win this f***er.
  18. Lind has made $35mm. Not bad for a stick who can't hit LHP. Let's go Jays. Hold em and get back at it.
  19. I guessed he would be DHING by July 20th but looks like they want to throw him right back in the OF according to Atkins et al. Jose loves the pressure. I think he is going to come back and rake. Which is all good for us. Adding an elite bat to this kind of line up without having to make a trade is a luxury few teams have right now. P.S. BoSox can f*** right off anytime now with the offense. Before the break JF was hanging on by a fingernail and now they are rolling again.
  20. I've always liked Tulo as Jay. Some people forget the big hits he had for us in the playoffs 2015 even though he struggled in the regular season. He is a threat again in our order squaring up balls routinely. Just lengthens that line up so much more, as does Travis. If we stay healthy we are a force!
  21. Sooo much contact off of Stro. Hard and soft. Drives me crazy.
  22. 2-1. Could have been worse. Nice pick Edwin. Been playing some solid 1B
  23. I am looking forward to not seeing Junior Lake in the line up again. Go Jays!
  24. I did. Some days even the best hitters go 0 for 5 with a couple K's. Rum for all!
  25. I don't often understand BBBB "unique" rum infused style but he is a pretty upbeat contributor die hard Jays fan and makes me chuckle. Often misunderstood but never duplicated. Keep on rummin' BBBB.
