  1. Its the never ending chase rate. In...away...away...away...in...away...away...away. Rinse. Repeat. Why throw a strike? Let them get themselves out. Too many AB's count leverage advantages changed by chase. Too many fastballs missed when they do leak over plate. I know its going to come around but I'm sick of saying this and telling myself this.
  2. Can't we have any fun? Lol. I think most know this. Jays can't add by subtracting much of material current value from 22 roster. As for prospects take your picks. I'd happily take Bell when a deal makes sense.
  3. Ok. Ok. Instead of Bell I'll take Soto for next 2.75 years. Back up the truck. Olney has things buzzing.
  4. Good discussion from all. That's what I'm wondering on tipping. With his movement and repertoire, the lack of whiffs is hard to understand. Just smacks of non filth or tipping. LHH are crushing him but better last night. His FB is getting lit. The average fan will say great start last night and I'll certainly take it but I still find his performance concerning. This is the honeymoon period in this deal.
  5. Was he good? Didn't see. Was listening some to game at a practice. A good line but not many K or much swing and miss. What did it look like? Phelps unsung hero last night. That was huge.
  6. Was ball 4 but that was a wicked slider for K to a RHH.
  7. Average pen thinner now. Trouble. Big spot for Yimi. Can we ever just have a laugher?
  8. 100%. Love the aggressiveness. He is going to give up some contact but so far getting ahead and pounding zone. Nice mix. I like the 97.
  9. hmmm...not quite in the Fowler class but likely. Not going to cost to see if there is a dead cat bounce. Really need some impact from that side of plate. At least thats what I think.
  10. Nice adds but need LHH. Bell SH. Slots in nicely. It's win now season.
  11. "Hey Mike, this is Ross. Whats it going to cost me for Josh Bell to DH? And don't jerk me around. I'm just renting him for '22"
  12. Connorp celebrates ignorance at every turn like its some kind of twisted badge of honor. As if a smash in the face on the baseball field, and then reveling in it years later, is a PC issue. Idiot.
  13. Strikes me as so indicative of our offensive woes to lose at the Trop yesterday on an inning set up by 2 LHH (Lowe & Franco) who flicked soft singles away on 2 good pitches away by Manaoh. Then an E by our best defender who has been great. Boom 3-0. A lead which seems insurmountable these days. While we celebrate EV, and for good reason, sometimes you just have to take what the pitchers are giving you for the scoreboard sake.
  14. This autopsy in the media about the Brett Gardner signing attempt is annoying. I do not want Brett Gardner for any million. Surely we can do better in adding depth on a team that wants to win the WS.
  15. f***ing Losers. We beat those bitches in 15 and 16. The '16 win on a throwing error by Odor himself. Let them celebrate their punch (eye roll).

Leafs yet again. What a crusher. I mean its like clockwork. 1967??? My Bruins bow out early. Meh. Proves, yet again, regular season means so so little. McDavid was completely off the charts incredible last night in game 7 for the Oilers. Don't have a superlative for the level he took it to.
  17. Bunting is 99% dumb to give up an out. Its not easy to bunt in todays game with the V and filth. Lots of bad things can happen in attempting it. A drag by a LHH with some speed for a hit can make sense. I don't want "small ball". Just some smart ball. Be heads up on the bases... Drive pitches away away... Make adjustments if constantly pitched the same way in the Box... Swing at more pitches on the plate, and less off it... Try and beat the shift occasionally... Shorten up occasionally when situation calls for it.
  18. In a 1200 PA sample he owns a 121 wRC+ He has always had questionable pitch selection, but he manages to overcome that with bat to ball skills. Hard to believe he won't end up with another solid offensive season all said and done.
  19. I was down on his long term prospects of playing SS in 1st half 21. Lots of posters brought up Simean for the A's and his early SS struggles etc. Bo started to look more legit on D as he improved 2nd half. He works really hard but he hasn't improved as much as I hoped in 22. I am disappointed the conversation about his being annoited the role has restarted, but it's a fair discussion. Especially when we have a decent sense of how big a deal he wants.
  20. Had to stop watching every single game for awhile. Just too painful night after night the same offensive approach and production. When we do get a few runs the pen blows it lol.
  21. It's a pretty average pen no matter how hard I squint at it. Better than the first half of 21 obviously, but it's a long way from what it needs to be to make a deep run in the playoffs, with who we would face. Need more filth and more cowbell.
  22. RHH heavy line up. No impact LHH. RHP pitching to our weaknesses and carve us up.
  23. Take him out. Re evaluate. Not worth it. He played that ball badly lol. Trop. Lowe is another of those LHH that just seem to KILL us always.
  24. Almost essential. We need it. I still hold out hope Merryweather figures it out. Scratch my head at his struggles. Too much center cut. Mayza got sent down in 21 and got it together. Hope Merryweather can do the same.
  25. Frustrating but pointless. Both teams play in the same cartoon stadium in the same division. Adjust accordingly. In the real world we lost a game to a team we are chasing when we had 90+ % win probability. Even with Stanton's fake real home run.
