MLB shouldn't allow these gimmicky park anomalies. Having said that, the Yanks RHH approach to nailing that advantage has been great and we need to do more of same. Get a good pitch mid to outer half, put a good swing on it getting it in the air and we can score those cheap runs too. They all count. Instead we roll over...and over. -

25% of the season in the books and Yanks are rolling no sign of stopping for Division title. Nestor nasty and DJL just hit a slam to short right porch. Keuchel looks a lot like Ryu these days. We just have to keep grinding away hoping offense wakes up, and put up W's. -
It's hard to cheer for Odor ever but he walked off the Rays with a jack in extras tonight. That I enjoyed.

He had four 5-7 fWAR seasons. Would those numbers have been increased on the fielding changes? Or they didn't go back past 21? Any way you shake it he has a career 117 wRC+ and its 121 in 2022. 2021 wasn't great to be sure offensively.

Listening to some Mets stuff on supposed Lindor woes. Had a quick look. Lindor was 4.2 fWAR for what was described as a horrendous 2021 season. Bo was worth 4.9. 4.2 ain't great but we have seen much worse. His 2022 wRC+ is 121 - but his career is only 117. Lets face it they way overpaid for this guy. I don't know what people thought they were getting. Expectations are premeditated resentments.

Yep. 21 was a low bar and 22 is better, but I have never liked our pen. With Mayza hurt and Romano V inconsistent its even thinner on what limited swing and miss we had for leverage. Praying for Pearson and Merryweather to come back effective is just not a strategy for success when competing with other top teams. Phelps, Garcia, Richards. GULP. This pen also needs an offence to survive.
