Castro would have given up a game-tying bomb on one pitch. Chatwood wasn't missing his spots by much and he was coming off two straight holds in close games. Should have left him in for at least another batter to see if he can get out of it.

Vladdy takes a fastball down the middle on the first pitch and then beats a changeup into the dirt. Just became one of those games I guess.

None of what Thornton did would have mattered. If Randal isn't jogging that play down like he's an 85 year old arthritis patient, the inning is over.

They're almost certainly going to lose off that play, aren't they? You don't get away with mistakes like that.

That's been objectively untrue lately. Both of the wins against the Marlins were very close, low-scoring games.

I know you're joking but most of those early bullpen meltdowns took place after the starters were left in too long and exited the game with multiple baserunners on, making most relief appearances during that stretch high leverage ones.

I'm probably an idiot and it was most likely the right call pulling Chadwood there but I'd have given him another batter. Don't think he was as wild today as he's been. 5th pitch to Mullins could have easily been called a strikeout. Oh well, time for Saucedo to prove himself in a high leverage spot.

I don't wanna say Badwood is back just yet. Yes, he's thrown a lot of balls but most of them haven't been that bad. A few borderline. Feel like he could maybe still get out this.

All the Jays pitchers have been superrrr chill with the umpire's substance checks. They're just chumming it up out there. Between their happy-go-lucky attitude towards these checks and the fact that there's been no noticeable decline in either their spin rates or their performances, it's really making me think the Jays weren't using much stuff at all.

The Fisher Cats offense is absolutely unhinged right now. Their last five games: June 19 - Won 15-2 June 20 - Won 8-5 June 22 - Won 10-5 June 23 - Won 10-3 June 24 - Won 10-2 And they're already up 10-1 today in the 6th inning. En. Fuego. -
Probably has his last outing in mind too. Definitely a spite call. Manoah did the right thing just now by chumming it up with the home plate ump after that big inning-ending strikeout.

Actually, I'm looking at some older lists and Binelas used to be ranked top 10 so I'm highly doubting he'll drop low enough for the Jays to grab him in the second round. I'm sure at least a few front offices out there still internally rate him higher than his stock has dropped on public lists.

Man, I rewound to the start of the Combine stream and this Alex Binelas kid has a gorgeous swing with some really loud pop. He's ranked #64 on MLB.com but I'm reading his scouting report and it looks like he's rated as low as he is because of a lack of a defensive profile. I really like everything else I'm reading on this kid and I'm hoping he's in play for the Jays second round pick.

MLB Draft Combine is live. Dan O'Dowd just said that, as a GM, he walked out of prospect interviews and ruled out drafting them because their life experiences didn't match their culture. lmao.
