  1. Even wilder: 15 home runs in 17 days. Shortest time span for 15 home runs in major league history.
  2. Note: This tweet was made before he hit his second home run of the game.
  3. Garrett Richards literally doesn't know how to pitch without foreign substances. Already given up three bombs today and almost gave up a fourth that Hernandez pulled back.
  4. Orioles catching is atrocious so maybe they bite on Fry or Sulser for one of the catchers as well. Severino is ass at framing IIRC and he's below replacement otherwise. Whoever they get can start now and backup Rutschman whenever he comes up.
  5. I like all of these moves. Just out of curiosity, who would you replace in the rotation with Pineda and what would you do with the guy getting replaced?
  6. I wonder if the Orioles would be willing to part with Fry and Sulser and what it would take to get a deal done. Both have been lights out in the pen this year and both have a ton of control remaining.
  7. Off-Day Discussion #4 Make at least three realistic trades that, in part or in full, help the Toronto Blue Jays in 2021 It's been a while but it's time for another off-day discussion. With trade season looming, let's get some ideas flowing on what kind of moves the Blue Jays can make that improve the team now (and maybe even in the future). Assume you've just been hired as the General Manager of the Toronto Blue Jays. You have full autonomy over your moves and you don't have to worry about things like payroll or how these moves will impact your standing with the team. In other words, all of these trades will only be evaluated from a raw talent and numbers perspective. - Make at least three trades. - Give some rationale for why both teams would make the move and how it would improve the team. - Be realistic. You're not getting Jose Berrios in a 1-1 trade for Samad Taylor. - Your trades can involve improving the future of the team and the farm system but must also improve the 2021 team in some way. - Show appreciation! If you like someone else's trade ideas, drop a "Thanks" on their post. - Feel free to throw in some rosterbation with your completed team after your trades are made.
  8. Actually, looking at it more, I think NJH is right. Looks like the weird stuff going on around his knee is just an optical illusion with his pants. Most likely just a broken ankle like bronson originally speculated.
  9. I wish it were. Go to 0:30 in this clip. You see it from a few angles. [Edit] Made a longer clip with the zoom in
  10. If so, it's definitely not just a broken ankle. The extended highlight show his upper leg completely separated from his lower leg. I made a small clip of it but DO NOT CLICK THIS if you're queasy or easily unsettled. https://streamable.com/p784ev
  11. I knew about the NHL version of this but had no idea they had the same thing for other sports. Cheers!
  12. For anyone that missed the Naylor replay and has a strong stomach: https://streamable.com/sac55o That's a horrific break. Don't watch if you're queasy.
  13. Holy s***! How the f*** did a guy as big as Naylor get sent flying like that? The dude who ran into him looked like a twig.
  14. 1-for-1. "No take backs" written in big bold letters on the first page of the transaction paperwork.
  15. I didn't watch a lot of Springer as an Astro. Does he make that play?
  16. Nobody ever accused sports fans of being original.
  17. Just like you'd draw it up. Excellent job by Murphy.
  18. Yet again, the Blue Jays bullpen has to start off on the back foot with multiple guys on and no outs. Because it's not possible for these guys to have clean innings late in starts and it's not possible to pull them until they start imploding.
  19. Yet again, a Jays starter can't cleanly complete his last inning.
  20. Pretty insane how often it seems it's just Vladdy and Teoscar at the top of the EV charts in Jays games.
  21. Nice to see lazy fielding benefit the Jays for once.
