  1. Game #82 Rays (Yarbrough) @ Toronto Blue Jays (Ray) Schedule | Standings | FanGraphs | News | Video | Spotlight | Twitter | Reddit | Instagram
  2. Jansen is back but they're going to keep running with McGuire as the primary catcher. I like it. Reese hasn't given them any reason to reduce his playing time at this point.
  3. — HALFWAY MARK — Game #81 Rays (McClanahan) @ Toronto Blue Jays (Stripling) Schedule | Standings | FanGraphs | News | Video | Spotlight | Twitter | Reddit | Instagram
  4. f*** the Phillies. All their fans do is bitch about their bullpen but they haven't felt our pain. At least when they blow saves, their offense still comes back to win it. They have 21 blown saves to the Blue Jays 10 yet the Phillies have only lost 16 games to their pen while the Jays have lost 19.
  5. My only real gripe with Reese McGuire so far was his catching of Manoah. I wasn't a big fan of his defense and framing either but he's been looking better in those aspects lately. Now that he's figured out how to call a Manoah game, I have become a Reese McGuire stan and would rather keep him as the backup when Kirk is ready to come back. Put Adams and Jansen on the trade block and see what you can get.
  6. Why do you need Mayza in this game? He's your second best reliever.
  7. lol Buck mentions the strikeout record and Manoah immediately loses it. It's like clockwork with these f***ing guys. Can't wait for him to say the words "no-hitter" later in the game and have him give up a hit right after.
  8. Game #80 Rays (Patino) @ Toronto Blue Jays (Manoah) Schedule | Standings | FanGraphs | News | Video | Spotlight | Twitter | Reddit | Instagram
  9. Untrue. The only reason anyone thinks this is because they're tunneling on Vin Scully's old timey voice. He was a lot more than just his voice. Anyone who could provide the broadcast with endless content and tell people stories they haven't heard before about the people on the field would go over well in any generation.
  10. I don't know why everyone is so broken up over Mullins not getting in. All-Star voting has always been a popularity contest and a guy having his first great season on a team nobody is watching is not going to get enough votes to be elected. He's still going to start the game as a fill-in for Trout. Teoscar definitely shouldn't be there but him getting in over Garcia and Brantley is a lot less egregious than getting in over Mullins.
  11. Ryu has been total ass since the substance crackdown. I'm not sure if he was using something or it's an awkward coincidence but he's been bad for a lot more than just this start.
  12. Game #79 Seattle Mariners (Kikuchi) @ Toronto Blue Jays (Ryu) Schedule | Standings | FanGraphs | News | Video | Spotlight | Twitter | Reddit | Instagram
  13. 5-way tie now between Bob Meusel, Adrian Beltre, Babe Herman, John Reilly and Trea Turner.
  14. Remember how I didn't want the Jays to draft Trea Turner? Good times. He hit his third career cycle tonight.
  15. Game #78 Seattle Mariners (Sheffield) @ Toronto Blue Jays (Matz) Schedule | Standings | FanGraphs | News | Video | Spotlight | Twitter | Reddit | Instagram
  16. The Cubs went up seven runs on the Brewers in the first inning (7-0) and are now down seven runs in the fourth inning (7-14). Bonkers game.
  17. Should also be noted that LeMahieu got that contract in an offseason where there were only a handful of decent free agents to share the available money with. Semien's contending with the deepest free agent class of all time this winter. Carlos Correa Clayton Kershaw Noah Syndergaard Max Scherzer Nick Castellanos* Justin Verlander Nolan Arenado* Trevor Bauer* Marcus Semien Corey Seager Kris Bryant Kyle Schwarber Freddie Freeman Kevin Gausman Carlos Rodon Trevor Story J.D. 18. If the Jays can dump Grichuk this season, they only have 54.7M locked up in guaranteed contracts next season: - Springer: $29.7M - Ryu: $20M - Gurriel: $5M There is $75M coming off the books, including $12M for Roark, $5.5M for Yates, $4M for Tulo and a combined $7M for Yamaguchi, Phelps, Panik and Milone. That's nearly $30M in completely dead money right now. Guerrero probably gets a big Arb 1 number and Teoscar probably gets a big Arb 2 number but Bichette is still on a minimum contract and Biggio's Arb 1 is probably fairly cheap. The Jays have already shown a willingness to spend by getting a top flight free agent in each of the past two offseasons with Ryu and Springer and they even made it to the final three with Bauer. This is arguably the greatest baseball free agent class of all time coming up. I'm ridiculously excited to see what they do with all the flexibility.
  19. lol, some guy heckles Ty France at the top of his lungs and another fan at the game loudly tells him to shut up. Ty France notices it all happen while at the plate, busts out laughing and asks for time from the umpire. https://streamable.com/bbuqy5 Hilarious video.
  20. Vladdy's gotten a few first pitches right in his wheelhouse lately that he hasn't swung at.
  21. Semien is the one that didn't want it. He knew he could get more if he had a big season than he would have off of his previous down year.
