    I'm pretty sure Laika is referring to Robertson as the OF that's a strong side platoon who might have plus power. There's no chance they believe Horwitz can play a passable LF or he'd have been out there for all of Spring Training. I think Horwitz takes over Vogelbach after his 45 day clause or whatever is about to reach. They're not gonna pay him his full season salary for a plug who can only hit RHP okay providing zero versatility on how to use him. Votto is a complete wildcard, if he looks alive then Horwitz is in tough luck, but more likely than not he's 40 years old and cooked.

    I agree but with Chad Green used in back-to-back days and a depleted bullpen, Yimi for 2 innings might be our best bet.

    Would have considered pinch hitting Vogelbach for KK here with how bad he's looked at the plate. Tough to lose the defense but his swing have been brutal.

    Yimi is in perfect shape to handle a second inning of work for when we take the lead in the bottom of the 8th.

    Yimi Garcia is the right guy in this spot. John Schneider has been near spotless with his bullpen usage and late-game pinch hitting spots this season.

    Vlad against Gilbert this game: 1st inning: 95 mph lineout 4th inning: 108.5 mph lineout, 345 feet 7th inning: 114.3 mph bomb, 459 feet Gilbert has looked unhittable all game. This is why it's so frustrating that he sucks. The tools to hit are there and few have them.
