  1. That was a great swing from Vladdy, surprised it didn't go further. Annoying that it ends up being a first pitch out in the end.
  2. Gilbert looks tough to hit. Hopefully the second go around has some better ABs.
  3. Kikuchi is dominating out there. Already at 10 whiffs through 3 innings (49 pitches).
  4. Julio Rodriguez looks lost at the plate.
  5. Darn, not a bad pitch although he did miss his spot. Can't be too mad there, wasn't even hit hard at all.
  6. His swing path is broken. He used to hit so many line drives all over the place, now he just rolls it over all the time
  7. It's not sustainable but glad to see Cavan at least hit a little looping pop up as opposed to just taking a pitch right in the zone for strike 3.
  8. Gilbert was painting his fastball that inning.
  9. At the same time, if you think Varsho's bat is bad now, imagine him splitting his time between CF and backup catching. He probably wouldn't hit one line drive in the month of April.
  10. Apparently according to the rules he’s being called up exactly a day away from not being eligible for the new draft pick compensation. So I guess that’s still on for them, TIL it didn’t have to be from the very first day of the season.
  11. Complete fumbling of the bag by them to not have him on the Opening Day roster. Could easily lose a draft pick as a result, all for him to play 9 games in AAA after dominating in Spring Training.
  12. Only a matter of time before this f***ing guy did that.
  13. Don’t be dumb and reactionary Jonn, it’s not a good look.
  14. That’s a great swing on a good pitch.
  15. Not gonna be mad at line drive outs though, good process.
  16. Would love us manufacture one more run. Not because I’m scared of losing, just so the offense carries the momentum into next game.
  17. I think he got a soft choice to stick for one more batter but understood it’s more important to save those bullets. He was just pissed that such a s***** hit happened on his last hitter when he finished strong.
  18. Berrios is so good, great job to pick up IKF on the missed tag.
  19. Or more likely, both the offense and pitching regress to the mean and the team starts playing a lot better. Home games and weaker opponents play a factor into a much "improved" looking team. Narratives run abound that Don Mattingly started becoming a more powerful voice to the hitters with the pitching staff really "coming together" and "bringing each other up" to explain a strong finish to April/start to May.
