  1. Apparently according to the rules he’s being called up exactly a day away from not being eligible for the new draft pick compensation. So I guess that’s still on for them, TIL it didn’t have to be from the very first day of the season.
  2. Complete fumbling of the bag by them to not have him on the Opening Day roster. Could easily lose a draft pick as a result, all for him to play 9 games in AAA after dominating in Spring Training.
  3. Only a matter of time before this f***ing guy did that.
  4. Don’t be dumb and reactionary Jonn, it’s not a good look.
  5. That’s a great swing on a good pitch.
  6. Not gonna be mad at line drive outs though, good process.
  7. Would love us manufacture one more run. Not because I’m scared of losing, just so the offense carries the momentum into next game.
  8. I think he got a soft choice to stick for one more batter but understood it’s more important to save those bullets. He was just pissed that such a s***** hit happened on his last hitter when he finished strong.
  9. Berrios is so good, great job to pick up IKF on the missed tag.
  10. Or more likely, both the offense and pitching regress to the mean and the team starts playing a lot better. Home games and weaker opponents play a factor into a much "improved" looking team. Narratives run abound that Don Mattingly started becoming a more powerful voice to the hitters with the pitching staff really "coming together" and "bringing each other up" to explain a strong finish to April/start to May.
  11. Tons but usually there’s an injury or multiple involved. Granted, maybe his shoulder thing is more serious than initially attributed to just laziness and poor conditioning. Or it’s both.
  12. I know you’re acting all insufferable to make a point now, good for you I guess, but f*** off with this. There’s plenty other Dominicans and latino players who are doing just fine or struggle the same as anyone else while being as hardworking and “students of the game” as any other player. No need to bring up Vladdy’s background to explain why he sucks. He can be stupid all on his own without having to point out that he’s Dominican as the reason why.
  13. Promising game all in all, looking at the bright side. Offense clicked a lot more throughout the lineup (save for Varsho and Serven who is f***ing awful), and the relievers gave us almost 7 IP with 3 ER against a tough lineup, can’t be mad at them. Gausman completely s***ing the bed with that velo is unfortunate and concerning. As long as he’s not injured and it’s a case of him working up his strength and just being cold, we’ll survive. Most nights the offense giving us 8 runs with the ace on the mound it’s a win 9/10 times. Get the series win tomorrow and go back home content with a .500 record with the offense heating up.
  14. Officially over the Vogelbach experiment. He also looks lost.
  15. Mitch White is keeping us in it. Keep chipping away, Schmidt is hittable.
  16. For f***’s sake, the one good swing he puts on a ball.
  17. Springer is locked in. If only Vlad and Bo could do something after him.
  18. Just keep chipping away and hold them at 6.
  19. Ernie Clement is so silky out there. Great hands.
