  1. Girardi doesn't even care anymore. He's just using his young guys no matter the consequences.
  2. f***, I thought you meant why Bautista going home was the right play, I misunderstood that. I would have to watch the replay again but I do pretty much agree that the Yankees made a wrong call there. Also was there a chance to step on first and fire home?
  3. Because if they try to go for the 3-6-3 double play and it fails, that's a run on the board for your team.
  4. Damn Liriano's slider is nasty today, he's commanding it perfectly. FFS use him over Dickey for the rest of the year.
  5. Not with 98 pitches through 6.
  6. His inevitable move to 1B/DH will be in the minds of other teams too. He's been an awful outfielder for years, now he completely lost his arm, he's an idiot on the basepaths, and his one calling card which is his elite hitting has only produced a less than 15% better than average offense. Good luck to his agent lol.
  7. Before any more s*** happens, we should take a moment to appreciate Liriano's pitches to Gary Sanchez. That was pure unfiltered filth.
  8. I had already made terms with his abysmal defense, but he was at least a semi-competent baserunner once upon a time. He's been terrible this year, costing himself a lot of money.
  9. Thole aside, our hitters are having a great approach at the plate. But then there's Bautista's baserunning adventures and some bad luck with our batted balls.
  10. What the f*** is Bautista doing on the bases?
  11. It's like putting yourself through torture.
  12. Given that he swung and popped up at a 2-0 pitch, to the surprise of no one, that's exactly what he should do.
  13. He was advocating for Thole to bunt.
  14. But he had a clean second inning! He had a rough first like most pitchers, Dickey will settle down soon!
  15. Hey Grant, tell us more about how it's common for pitchers to struggle in the first inning and then settle down after that. Dickey is a prime example of that for sure.
  16. Aaron carries significantly more risk being a pitcher. Gary is at least a plus defensive catcher, framing included, with potential to be a consistent above-average hitter if not better, those guys are simply much more scarce and have less risk than a high velocity pitcher.
  17. Both? I think the Yankees definitely say no.
  18. He's absolutely going to leave Thole in the game, don't be surprised.
  19. That's because it's a terrible pitch and it rarely ever surprises anyone.
  20. That's a shame, Pillar hit that well.
  21. Nice swing from Saunders.
  22. Tanaka is at 52 pitches following that first strike. Seems like pitchtracker has issues at Yankee Stadium, as this isn't the first time it has disappeared.
  23. Empirical evidence shows that Francisco Liriano projects about 0.3 runs better than Dickey as a starter, and Bolsinger and Feldman around the same (though the latter projects primarily as a reliever). And let's not even discuss the difference between Thole and Martin.
  24. I mean sure I want to win too, but we have Liriano, Feldman and Bolsinger who could probably contribute just as much if not more than Dickey. I don't really care what does and doesn't concern you, I think you would find similar feelings towards RA across the fanbase more than any other pitcher.
  25. The other big reason why Dickey is the most frustrating pitcher we have.
