  1. Despite him starting to turn it around a bit, I would imagine Gibby still trusts Benoit more than Cecil right now, even if only for one LOOGY matchup.
  2. In Gibby's defense - sort of - he probably thought he was using one of his top arms in Benoit. Probably saw the difference between he and Grilli as too small to mess up his assigned inning roles.
  3. Biagini is amazing!
  4. I was about to make a similar comment before the Blue Jays went full retard. Cron played that as poorly as one could possibly play that. Basically waited for the ball to roll fair, giving enough time for the runner to pass him in the process.
  5. Bush started WAR.
  6. That play was SLICK.
  7. Pedroia was still a lot better that year.
  8. He probably advanced in case Tulo's linedrive dropped, not much he could do there.
  9. Tulo got all of that one, that sucks.
  10. Oh, I forgot to look at today's game.
  11. Trout rarely complains.
  12. Great pitch. I love Happ's ability to go inside or up-and-inside.
  13. I know Russell messed up too, but FFS would it kill him to give a little effort there? He basically gave up once he saw the throw coming, that's unacceptable. Just a horrible play all-around.
  14. Are you f***ing kidding me Bautista?
  15. Man, after my continued putdowns of DJLM, he actually had his best season yet by far. He's improved his walk, strikeout and contact rates while adding more power. Coors doesn't make any sense.
  16. Chris Archer is awesome.
  17. Well I don't know what happened. It wasn't really a criticism on Hendricks, but all of him, Lester, Lackey, and Hammel had BABIPs around league average last year and this season they've all dropped dramatically. There's got to be a common denominator here.
  18. It also helps that the Cubs' amazing defense suppresses his BABIP a lot.
  19. Yeah, Travis should really teach that trick to Upton, the one where he makes the fielder stumble over his own feet forcing him to make a late throw.
