  1. IMo something like Hutch + Castro + Navarro would work better for both teams.
  2. He's closer in age to Daniel Norris than Aaron Sanchez.
  3. IMO it's more about what you think the difference is b/w Hutch and the next guy (Norris, Boyd, Estrada) in 2015. If you can get similar value to Hutch (this is where I struggle) than those 1.5 wins would be massive.
  4. I'd 100% include Hutch in a Hamels deal. This team needs a top end lefty badly.
  5. Now I get it... Ouch haha
  6. Only if they don't make it far in the playoffs. I'd trade anyone on this roster for a crack at the WS.
  7. I don't know what BBBB is! That being said I don't know if I pulled the trigger, figured I'd ask here and form an opinion afterwards
  8. I think they are holding out for an elite prospect but don't think they will get it. I;d rather have Hutch than a second tier prospect but maybe that's just me.
  9. If Hutch could put up +200IP and b/w 2 and 4 WAR consistently I think we'd all take that! Out of curiosity how many people here would move Hutch 1 for 1 for Cueto as a rental?
  10. I'd be pretty happy with a Clancy-type of career from Hutch.
  11. That's the difference between a mid-rotation guy and a 1 or 2 starter. If Hutch brought his best stuff every day he'd be a legit ace. Going to have to live with the occasional bad outing with him.
  12. Elite relievers dominate year over year. No one in the Jays BP can boast that and none of them should be considered in that light.
  13. If you take out his one bad outing against BOS he's been pretty dominant in June. 8.4k/9, 3.7 bb/9, 2.11 ERA (too lazy to figure out his FIP), averaging 5.2 IP per start. I hate to cherry pick stats like that but there is quite a bit there to believe Hutch is turning the corner.
  14. You're allowed to have different opinions, it's not a matter of right or wrong here.
  15. Hutch has a 3.4FIP since May 1st. He's been decent lately. Martin can catch him mid-game but I don't think there is a catcher on the planet that wants to see a KB out of the BP. Add in the tendency for KB's to go for HR's and Dickey's inability to consistently throw strikes and he isn't a fit in the BP IMO.
  16. He's discussing the numbers the rest of us are assuming they will improve or that we are lacking context. I disagree with Boxcar but he isn't wrong in what he has said.
  17. Dickey out of the BP would be a disaster --> he rarely comes out and throws strikes early. He prefers Thole as his catcher so you may be looking at a mid-game catcher replacement. Hutch --> Would be a great reliever but seems to be finding his stride and has had success out of the rotation. No logical replacement for him at this point in the system. Sanchez --> has the stuff to be a dominant reliver. Has had success out of the BP and has been inconsistent in the rotation. Is coming off an injury and needs some time to build his innings back up. Isn't on an innings limit per se but his innings are being watched and will likely move to the BP at some point if his arm begins to tire.
  18. At this point I think you have to trade. I'd call up Matt Boyd to replace Copeland if Sanchez isn't ready to go though. Maybe he can steal a spot.
  19. Obvious answer is Sanchez but you would need to add a starter before consider moving any of the three to the BP.
  20. I really like Hoffman and believe the K #'s will rise but there is no reason to pile on Boxcar here. He hasn't said anything that wasn't rooted in the facts.
  21. We don't know what Hoffman is working on. We don't know how he is bouncing back from injuries. If he has back-to-back big SO games the perception of him will completely flip flop. That's a very telling sign that we need to see more before drawing any conclusions.
  22. They love the 8 man pen for whatever reason
  23. I think they did a great job given where they were picking and their budget. Should get a couple MLBers but it's probably not going to be AAs best draft. So far 2013, 2012 and 2010 look like amazing hauls.
  24. They aren't going to send a reliever down without calling another one up. It could be Collabello but they seem to like him more than Kawasaki (who is going down when Travis comes back anyways)
