    Question...we've been told that Groshans will probably be switched off SS to 3rd base. Some of the reason is SS is occupied by Bo and the other is his body type may not suit SS. Do you think that he could he should be considered for 2nd base?

    Barebones.....camera and some type of graphic with who's at bat...or pick-up the stadium P.A. announcer.

    The biggest acquisition the Jays has made this season that may have the biggest impact is the Rogers Centre for 81 games. But still gotta love the trades and signings..

    What other 3rd baseman in the AL would you rather have than Chapman....Devers or Ramirez? Personally I cant think of any other....

    Re Smith...I suspect he's in play for 3rd base to start the season, maybe not long term but maybe to enhance his trade value for 3rd base man, if we are acquiring an established 3rd base man...the trade partner will need to replace him with someone. This front office values prospects and I suspect they want to see what he can do before sentencing to a career in AAA.... nothing more, nothing less.

    Sorry yes, I knew Smith is a RH bat but s*** happens. My point still stands on the Jays playing him st 3rd as an option.

    A 3rd base option not really getting any thought even though he's left handed and comes at zero cost is Kevin Smith (at least at the start of the season). It would also free-up Espinal to play other positions as the utility player. Plus, if he does perform well in the MLB its will just increase his trade value if they F.O. wants to upgrade his trade value or frees up other assets.

    I read he was not vaccinated so thats probably has a lot to do with it.

    or maybe the last few days the Jays never wanted this to drag out too long with Ray and just went with someone 100% certain to sign here and not miss out on either player.

    Having a deep, quality pen may help attract some pitchers who are "betting on themselves" next season. The Jays didn't make the playoffs by dying a death of a 1000 cuts from the bullpen. This signing just helps by not having to roll out the cuts administered by the Chatwoods and Dolis's of this world.
