  1. You are allowed to post but I got a bunch of security warnings about that link so I took it out. You don't seem like a bot so I'm not going to assume any malice.
  2. Just got back from a weekend roadtrip. I'm not going to bother catching up on all the threads. I'll just assume the place was pretty toxic.
  3. Might be able to work out a deal similar to Estrada though I don't know if that's really preferable to the q.o. Gives you a body for 2018 but I don't think it's a body anyone would have tremendous confidence in by then.
  4. The only thing he might have over Rasmus is a less attractive free agent pool to compete with and I'm not even sure about that because I've already forgotten what this year's FA class was like.
  5. I'm just guessing here but I think this front office would be more comfortable overpaying for one year through a q.o. over making long term commitments through free agency and they also seem pretty concerned about a lack of bodies under control for 2017 (the attempted Jay Bruce acquistition, the Smoak signing, the Upton trade all suggest a much) so yeah I could see it happening though the likelihood will keep diminishing if he doesn't finish the season strong.
  6. The timing of the quote is related to the question being asked directly and the answer was basically that no they are not focused on re-signing these guys at the moment so what's the problem exactly?
  7. The straight forward honesty is refreshing.

  10. Aww... f***... I just logged in. Cliff notes?
  11. It would be one of the easiest plays to review.
  12. To be fair, Jays pitchers have been throwing well too they just haven't been getting the run support.
  13. Injuries to Whitt and Fernandez played a role in that collapse. That's part of the reason you could argue that the team deserved better (especially considering that Fernandez was injured by an opposing Tigers player).
  14. I wouldn't say it's a bonus. I'd say it's his main source of value at this point. Despite what Gibby might think, he's not even an average hitter at this point and he was never a good receiver.
  15. Yeah but if he reaches it, I might as well activate him now for simplicity's sake.
  16. He was intriguing but ultimately the Adam Loewen comp seems pretty apt. Enough raw power and residual ability to maybe get close but unlikely to get over the hump. Would have been a decent piece to have for depth but there might be similar talent in the international market anyways.
  17. Really left yourself open to a dogg/bitch joke here.
  18. Bring back sanity! (Oh wait... it was never here.)
  19. If I am not mistaken Daniel Norris is exactly one appearance away from reaching his threshold (23 starts + (0.5 x 5 extra appearances) = 25.5).
  20. Pompey can be used as a lefty so I could see him being inserted out of desperation but I don't love it by any stretch. I think whatever fairy dust the Jays were going to get out of Zeke this year is pretty much used up. Lately he's been looking a lot like the player we hated so much last year.
  21. As much as you hate him, he's still the best of that group.
  22. Best pure hitter on the team or some ******** - Gibby
  23. Serena killing Halep in the third. Triple Match Point.
