    He's also acknowledged by his coaches and teammates as one of the game's truly nice guys. If he keeps a batting average above mendoza while flashing good leather, good speed and a sprinkle of power, he could definitely be one of the most popular Blue Jays.

    Both Rasmussen and Mills are currently on the active roster and Santos cleared a 40 man roster spot so you only need to do one of those moves.

    The more important point is why go through 40 man machinations for a three day paternity leave? Not worth it. Goins is probably not going to get much playing time anyways, probably just some late inning work as a defensive replacement.

    It resurrects itself periodically independantly of that. I'm pretty surprised Gruber92 hasn't chimed in yet. This is the biggest Goins news in awhile.

    O.K. He's the only infielder on the 40 man so it only makes sense to call him up.

    If there's an overwhelming majority of betters who bet one way, that leaves the casino vulnerable to a huge payout so they set up the odds to avoid that. Nothing odd about it, it's the business model.

    If they need a longman they could give another shot to Rogers. As for Sanchez, it seems it would make more sense to see how effective he can be in shorter stints. Seems like a waste to start his service time just to use him in low leverage situations.

    Anyone understand the rationale for Goins? I may not agree with Sanchez but I could see why AA might think he can help as a releiver but what's the point of Goins? He's not an improvement over Kawa. Is he going to play 2B and push Kawa to third against righties? Spell Reyes?

    Those are basically the same thing. House odds are shaped to protect the house from windfalls by getting as close as possible to a 50/50 split of over/under bets. They are predictive of betting trends not of results.
