  1. O.K. I'll do that but I'm also going to be tattle tale. I don't want to be the only bottom feeder doing this. That's how you end up just outside of the good waivers.
  2. If I'm not in it (and I probably won't be), I need to do a better job with the free agent and waiver pick ups this year. I let some guys that I knew I wanted get to other teams (often yours). I should have filled my roster with NA players, integrity of competition be dammned.
  3. Well that should be interesting.
  4. You played that really well. It probably wouldn't have even occured to you to offer just Norris for Urias. You let me make my own player evaluations and you acted quickly.
  5. Yeah I feel like most IFAs are well below AA level anyways. I'd rather not be able to draft the few that are more advanced than risk having a younger one become waiver draft eligible.
  6. And if not, there's always rap.
  7. It's only innefective if the player turn out to be good. Taylor and Wallace are basically worthless right now so it's good that the Jays got out when they could.
  8. So if Olivera signs today and he's not added to the database by Sunday, he can't be drafted?
  9. Did it a second time for shits and giggles to see if I would remember everyone. I still fell one name short. Missed another relief prospect.
  10. Yeah there's a least one guy that I thought, It's pathetic that he was even considered a prospect because he wasn't even that young and he profiled as a reliever. There's another guy who was already pretty much a bust at that point and shouldn't have still been making lists.
  11. I did terribly. Only 5 names. All the name were familiar to me but getting the timeline right is tricky. Some I was surprised to see where already in the system at the time, I would have assumed they came in later. Others were more like bad memories. Guys I remember but hadn't really thought of in a long while. There's one guy I had almost completely forgotten. A huge percentage of these guys were involved in big trades. That would be the best trick I could give for getting the most answers in this quizz. Throw in a few first rounder and you're almost there.
  12. I think I have the worst team. Don't know how I managed to finish 16th.
  13. I can review my trades but I don't recall dealing any waiver picks.
  14. Keepers: C Wilin Rosario 1B Logan Morrison 2B Rougned Odor SS Jose Ramirez 3B Conor Gillaspie OF Kevin Keirmaer OF Austin Jackson OF Curtis Granderson DH Kenny Vargas Bench: Brock Holt SP Shane Greene SP Jeff Locke SP Vance Worley SP T.J. 15. Thanks! I'd been wondering about this. So options basically become obsolete after 5 years.
  16. Can you explain how that works with Izturis? It is because he was signed on a free agent MLB contract?
  17. Miss U.S.A. not Miss America.
  18. In a vaccuum maybe but he's perceived as a gay with a lot of baggage. The Jays flat out benching down the stretch surely didn't improve the market on a guy with a cloudy reputation to begin with.
  19. That's part of it but also I think part of it is that if you make a good living being an outspoken uninformed boob, there's no real incentive to challenge your own assumptions and accept new ideas. You stick to the shtick that pays the bill. This is a plague amongst broadcasters and journalists.
  20. Nothing that great on the FA market anymore anyways. Proably better to save the remaining payroll space to be able to take on a contract via trade.
  21. I think it's unlikely another reliever gets brought in on a MLB contract. If they bring in anyone, it will probably be another MiLB contract like they tried to do with the last guy.
  22. Hendriks and Drabek are out of options so it's make or break for them. Estrada might be in the pen if he's not in the rotation. After that, you have guys like West, Infante, Lopez, Jenkins, Tepera, Rasmussen, etc. Another established arm would be nice but I don't really find it all that worrisome to be honest.
  23. Yeah I have been reading that a lot and not just here. Seems like all the websites, even the smart ones, make that assumption without really digging into it
  24. He's probably just trolling them too.
