  1. Who was it posting on here the other day that he needed a 1B? Why not swallow your pride and trade for Craig?
  2. Wallace wishes he was Snideriffic at THIS point.

  4. Crazily, some Americans call beefaroni Chop Suey: http://www.seriouseats.com/2014/09/american-chop-suey-johnny-marzetti-beefaroni-hamburger-helper-goulash-italian-american.html
  5. I know some people who call macaroni with ground beef goulash. Egregious but still not as bad as calling scrambled eggs goulash.
  6. AA on Castro: “He’s just looked so good. I guess all I’d say at this point is if he continues to perform like this and he was to not make the team and I had my media scrum, I don’t know what I would say as to why he wouldn’t make the team.” http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/anthopoulos-castro-unbelievable-position/ Gibbons on Sanchez "He's pretty much locked into (the rotation) now," http://www.thescore.com/news/725315
  7. Very strange stacking of the deck for Castro with some of his best competition for a spot being sent to Minor League camp early.
  8. I doubt it's exclusively his decision.
  9. He's definitely remixed stuff, most prominently Foo Fighters but I have come across other stuff too. I guess I have just assumed he was very commercial because of the high profile remixes but I'm not really familiar with his solo output. I typically enjoy electronica, both experimental and commercial, so there's a good chance I'd enjoy it.
  10. Is his stuff really that out there? I thought it was just garden variety commercial remixing.
  11. Gibbons also said Sanchez has Stroman's spot and Norris and Estrada are battling it out for 5th starter so no they are not looking at him for a rotation spot. He's replacing Sanchez as the starting prospect used in the bullpen.
  12. Absolutely and he's a better player than Beckham was when he joined the MLS. Portugal should still want him.

I barely remember what he was like as a manager. That was the tail end of the Gord Ash era and things were not going well overall. Everyone's attention was turned towards the soon to be canned front office which was the real problem. Nobody thought Buck was smart but I don't remember much about him being eggregious as a strategist. I seem to recall he mostly stayed out the way but it was a long time ago and I had a different perspective on baseball fan back then.
  14. Looks like JPA is getting good use out of that Wieters voodoo doll.
  15. Song is really old. They were playing it at live shows well before it came out. They might have simply kept that to themselves though.
  16. I'm really surprised that they had access to Drake and didn't use "Just Hold On I'm Coming Home" for the opener last year. The song was still big at the time. Timing would have worked. If they use it now it will just sound like they're really late to the party.
  17. Fredericton, NB.
  18. This is probably a good time to close the thread.
  19. Does anyone who post "Dat's Racist" ever do so without their tongue in their cheek? Saying black people are fast is not racist. At most it's a racial stereotype and yeah you could argue that it's really just about being lean and not being black at all but that would actually mean having a serious discussion about this when it's completely unwarranted.
  20. Well offense certainly isn't Trout's problem. Maybe it's more of a saber backlash.
  21. I don't live in Toronto but I can't imagine much topping the feel of the home opener. It's the one day where that huge seating capacity is actually an advantage. No other sporting event (presumably) brings in as many people and livens up the downtown core like that. I wasn't around for the Raptors playoff games though which did seem like a blast.
  22. I don't think anyone does. Location is by far the best thing it has going. As a small town tourist, I find it fun to be part of the wave of people who converge on downtown Toronto from southern Ontario and beyond for Jays games (and presumably for Leafs and Raptors games too though I've never been a part of that).
  23. Dat's racist (but probably pretty close to how the people who award gold gloves think).
