  1. This is the link. Not sure if it works if you're not already in the league.
  2. Yeah that would be alright. Then maybe we can look into creating a pool of candidates and possibly holding a 2 to 4 team dispersal draft which would be a way to make the new owners feel more invested.
  3. An expansion draft involving assetts from 3-4 team might be more appealing but with the draft slated to start on Jan. 2, there's no time to set-up something like that. Need an owner for Silvergunn ASAP or failing that a prospects guy who would enjoy getting a team through the draft though I can't think of anyone who is that hardcore about prospects and not already in the league.
  4. Has anyone who isn't already in the league even posted in this thread? This seems like a really bad time for a manager search. Board is pretty dead.
  5. North badly needs a CF though, I would try to leverage that. I think he might be in enough of a pickle to make it work for both of them. Couldn't hurt to ask. At worst he tries to work some 10 team gargantuan trade that's bound to fail but is good for a laugh.
  6. This is for Silvergunn.
  7. I have no horse in this but net saves suck. Penalizes all you middle relievers because their holds don't count against their blown saves.
  8. You have two 1Bs. I'd probably have the same lineup with Bautista at DH instead of 1B and Pompey in one of the OF spots. I'm not expecting anything from Saunders but if he were healthy than Revere is probably expendable.

    NFL Thread

Posted this in the movie thread but it's just as interesting to have it here. A piece on how Concussion might be sensationalizing a false narrative about head trauma in football. http://www.slate.com/articles/sports/sports_nut/2015/12/the_truth_about_will_smith_s_concussion_and_bennet_omalu.2.html
  10. Does Sanchez even know whether or not his birth father is Mexican? How did team Mexico find out? That's a weird one to say the least. http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/report-team-mexico-wants-three-blue-jays-for-wbc-qualifier/
  11. Yes I thought you made sense but I also thought the thread was really far off topic and generally s***** so I just nuked it.
  12. There might be benefits to Sanchez and Osuna as starters long term but we don't know for sure how that would work out and 2016 is the last Bautista/EE year. I don't think the team has the option of moving contributing players back down to the minors to experiment with them when this could very well be the last year for this lineup.
  13. Spanky works construction. He would know whether the costs generally go up or generally go down in these scenarios. That's all I really wanted to know when I asked the question.
  14. http://schneeblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/Screen-Shot-2014-10-06-at-2.56.50-AM.png
  15. Would the low canadian dollar make this a good time to invest in infrastructure, a bad time or not really change things? Just an honest question to anyone who might have some thoughts on the matter.
  16. There are issues around size of sample but there are also issues around quality of samples. There's really a compounding effect as players move up. The samples get bigger but the quality of competition also means you have to be more rounded as a player to find success in those samples. So it's no only that there's more data, it's also much better data.
  17. You won't necessarily make less money by choking the supply a bit. In fact, less seats might make it easier to implement dynamic pricing and increase revenue and the sight of empty seats does diminish the fan experience. That being said, might as well make the seats bigger and spin the reduction of seats to fans that way.
  18. Well they see him as someone who will make starts. That doesn't mean he necessarily starts the season in the rotation but he won't spend the whole season in the 'pen either.
  19. BA's bias for top picks is a long running thing.
  20. That's not crazy. He's a good pitcher. I could see him being this year's version of Estrada.
  21. Really? Why? He suxxx?
  22. Penny has one of those deals where he can f*** off if he doesn't make the team out of spring training. I wouldn't really want him to make the team so whatever.
